The Regulation of Osteoprotegerin by Mechanical Stimulation

Malocclusion

To test whether levels of OPG can be changed during orthodontic treatment. Alveolar bone samples will be collected from partially impacted third molars after orthodontic uprighting for different period of time in volunteers. In situ hybridization and immunohistochemistry analysis for OPG and RANKL will reveal their roles in this physiological process.

Evaluation of the Effect of Different Rapid Maxillary Expansion Appliances on Airway by Acoustic...

Posterior CrossbiteUpper Airway

Rapid maxillary expansion (RME) is an orthodontic treatment based on the principle of opening the midpalatal suture with the effect of orthopedic forces. The aim of this randomized clinical study was to evaluate and compare the effects of tooth-borne, tooth-tissue borne, and bone-borne rapid maxillary expanders on nasal airway by using AR. The null hypothesis was that there is no difference for the effect on nasal airway between the appliances.

Dentofacial Effects Of Two Non-Compliance Appliances In The Treatment Of Growing Skeletal Class...

MalocclusionAngle Class III

Early orthodontic treatment of Class III malocclusions with skeletal and dentoalveolar imbalances, represents a continuous dilemma. This difficulty starts from their meticulous diagnosis and treatment planning till reaching satisfactory results and finally stability. Some appliances could be used to correct growing skeletal Class III patients, improving the skeletal and dentoalveolar relationships, creating proper conditions for final orthodontic treatment, more importantly avoiding surgery. These appliances remove patient compliance from the equation.

Comparison of Oral Health Related Quality of Life Changes Between Clear Aligners and Vestibular...

Teeth Crowding

Patients who have severe crowding that required four premolars extraction will be treated in this study. The effects of clear aligners therapy on oral health related quality of life (OHRQoL) in comparison with vestibular fixed appliances using the validated OHIP-14 tool during orthodontic treatment. So the aim of the study was to compare the changes in OHRQoL between patients receiving clear aligners or fixed appliances during the first year of the orthodontic treatment. There are two groups: First group (Experimental): the patients in this group will be treated using clear aligners. Second group (Control): the patients in this group will be treated using fixed appliances.
