TOCILIZUMAB - An Option for Patients With COVID-19 Associated Cytokine Release Syndrome; A Single...
Covid19Investigators conducted this study to see the effectiveness of Tocilizumab in COVID-19 participants who were in cytokine release syndrome and there was also a control group who received steroids(RECOVERY TRIAL wasn't published or available at that time) this study was conducted in the early days of 1st wave of COVID in our country Pakistan so it was need of the day to develop some national guidelines on the basis of multiple studies' results from Pakistan.
Interleukin-34 in Stage I and II Periodontitis
Cytokine StormInterleukin 34 (IL-34) is the second active component of (colony-stimulating factor receptor) CSF-1R. With regards to periodontal disease, It is debatable whether IL-34 is a pro-inflammatory cytokine (as seen in rheumatic arthritis and Sjogren syndrome) or an anti-inflammatory cytokine( as seen in Alzheimer's disease) so further studies could be conducted to better understand whether IL-34 is a proinflammatory or anti-inflammatory cytokine in the pathogenesis of periodontal diseases and to evaluate the change of its levels in Gingival crevicular fluid (GCF) in patients with periodontal disease after non-surgical periodontal therapy (NSPT).
Defibrotide as Prevention and Treatment of Respiratory Distress and Cytokine Release Syndrome of...
COVID19Protection of endothelial dysfunction by intravenous infusion of Defibrotide (Defitelio), expected to decrease inflammation and expression of adhesion molecules in the endothelium, leukocyte tissue infiltration and epithelial destruction, and to promote immune tolerance through a change in the Cytokine balance, which is decisive in preventing multiorgan failure and death in patients with SARS-CoV-2 infection with clinical status grade 4 or 5 according to the WHO classification
Study of Efficacy and Safety of Canakinumab Treatment for CRS in Participants With COVID-19-induced...
Cytokine Release Syndrome (CRS) in Patients With COVID-19-induced PneumoniaThis was a multicenter, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study to assess the efficacy and safety of canakinumab plus standard-of-care (SOC) compared with placebo plus SOC in patients with COVID-19-induced pneumonia and cytokine release syndrome (CRS).
UNITE Study (UMN-GE) for COVID-19
Covid19Cytokine Storm1 moreThe research objective of the UNITE Study is to assess the potential efficacy of ultrasound application to the spleen in the treatment of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in a pilot study. Specific Aims: Determine the efficacy of splenic ultrasound in affecting markers of systemic inflammation in COVID-19 infection. Evaluate the potential efficacy of splenic ultrasound in affecting clinical outcomes in COVID-19 infection.
Therapeutic Plasma Exchange for Coronavirus Disease-2019 Triggered Cytokine Release Storm;
COVID-19Cytokine Release SyndromeBackground: investigators have seen recently from experience in Western countries with best health care systems that pandemics cannot be managed in hospitals. Investigators have seen ICUs crowded to capacity, healthcare workers being exposed and going to quarantine or dying after exposure to large doses of viral inoculums. Investigators recommend that institutions should register for Clinical trials and consider emergency use of TPE. In Pandemics, time is of essence to avoid mortality by intervening early with available evidence, preferably as part of clinical trial. Scientific rationale: Beyond supportive care, there are currently no proven treatment options for coronavirus disease (COVID-19) and related pneumonia, caused by Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2). However, literature review has shown that most common cause of death in severe SARS-COV-2 is Cytokine release syndrome and Hemophygocytic Lymphohistocytosis (HLH). In this context, Investigators seek to treat patients who are sick enough to warrant hospitalization prior to the onset of overwhelming disease including a systemic inflammatory response, sepsis, and/or Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome (ARDS).
Menstrual Blood Stem Cells in Severe Covid-19
Covid19Cytokine StormIn this randomized controlled trial (RCT), severe cases of COVID-19 infection will be treated with secretome of menstrual blood stem cells. The improvement in the clinical, laboratory and radiological manifestations will be evaluated in treated patients compared with the control group.
Safety and Effectiveness of Cyclosporin in the Management of COVID19 ARDS Patients in Alexandria...
COVID-19 Acute Respiratory Distress SyndromeCytokine Release Syndrome1 moreThe study to evaluate the effect of cyclosporine ( IL2 inhibitor and antiviral) verse standard care treatment on decrease ADRS, hyper inflammation, hypercytokinemia, and the mortality rate
Study of the Tocilizumab Optimization Timing for CART19 Associated Cytokine Release Syndrome
Lymphoblastic LeukemiaAcute1 moreThis is a two cohort, open-label, pilot study to describe the efficacy of administration timing of tocilizumab on CART19 (CTL019) associated cytokine release syndrome safety events in pediatric patients with CD19 expressing relapsed and refractory B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia with high versus low pre-infusion tumor burden following redirected autologous T cells transduced with the anti-CD19 lentiviral vector (CART19/CTL019).
Safety and Tolerability Study of IV ST266 in COVID-19 Subjects
Cytokine Release SyndromeThe primary aim of the study is to evaluate the safety and tolerability of open-label ST266 given to subjects with confirmed COVID-19 infection through IV administration once a day of 5 consecutive days.
