Impact of the Radiographic Examination on Diagnosis and Treatment Decision of Caries Lesions in...
Dental CariesTeeth Loss1 moreRadiographs have been used to aid dentists in detecting the presence of cavities in the deciduous teeth of children. This procedure is globally recommended because the conventional clinical examination usually overlooks some cavities. However, the real benefit of performing dental radiographs for this purpose is still unclear. Besides the hazards of ionizing radiation, the radiographs could provoke overtreatment of the children; hence, dentists would tend to restore more teeth than would be really necessary. Nowadays, it is preferable to overlook some cavities than treat the teeth unnecessarily. Therefore, the investigators aimed to perform this study to compare two different strategies for detecting cavities in deciduous teeth of children: one based on clinical examination performed alone and other using radiographs adjunct to the clinical examination. To compare these strategies, the investigators will consider outcomes related to children's health and welfare.
Assessment of Vital Pulp Therapy in Permanent Molars
Dental Caries Extending to PulpPulp Disease1 moreThe purpose of this study is to evaluate the long term clinical performance of vital pulp therapy of young permanent teeth with irreversible pulpitis
Clinical Performance of a Glass-ionomer Restorative System in Extended-sized Cavities
Dental Caries Class IIThe aim of this clinical trial was to compare the clinical performances of a glass ionomer restorative system with a micro hybrid resin based composite in extended sized class II cavities. A total of 100 class 2 lesions were restored with a glass ionomer restorative system (Equia Forte) or a micro hybrid composite (G-aenial Posterior). Restorations were evaluated at baseline and yearly during 6 years according to the modified-USPHS criteria. Data were analyzed with Cohcran's Q and McNemar's tests (p<0.05).
Management of Molar Incisor Hypomineralization With Silver Diamine Fluoride
Dental CariesMolar Incisor HypomineralizationThe purpose of this study is to evaluate and compare the clinical performance of Silver diamine Fluoride (SDF) and Silver diamine fluoride + Atraumatic resin restoration (SDF+ARR) on molars with MIH
Radiographic Assessment of Calcific Bridge Formation by Light Activated Calcium Silicate Versus...
Deep Carious Lesionssixty participants will be divided in to two groups (n=30) of patient treated by partial caries removal according to the capping material (A),where (A1)represents calcium silicate group,(A2)represent calcium hydroxide group.Apply light activated calcium silicate for group (A1) in deep occlusal caries and taking the base line image after restoring the cavity with composite restoration and apply light activated calcium hydroxide for(A2)group in deep occlusal caries and taking the base line image after restoring with composite restoration.Take follow up image after one year to measure the calcific bridge formation for both groups.
The Impact of Anticipatory Guidance on Early Childhood Caries: a Quasi-experimental Study
Dental Caries in ChildrenThis study aimed to compare the impact of anticipatory guidance on the caries incidence of 2-3-year-old preschool children and their 4-6-year-old siblings, as well as on their mothers' oral health literacy, as compared to the conventional Ministry of Health (MOH) programme.
Evaluation Of Clinical Performance of Self-adhering Flowable Composite vs Conventional Flowable...
Dental CariesThis clinical trial will be conducted to compare the clinical performance of a new self-adhering flowable composite in restoring CLs compared to conventional flowable composite in geriatric patients over 12 months.
One Year Clinical Evaluation of Shade Matching and Patient Satisfaction of New Gradient Technology...
Decayed TeethMalposed Teeth4 moreAlthough zirconia is widely used for fabrication of restorations, the 3Y-TZP zirconia where limited for posterior region for its high strength and bad esthetic. While the 5Y-TZP zirconia is limited for the anterior region due to its good esthetic and low strength. For that reason, the introduction of the new gradient technology zirconia (5Y-TZP\3Y-TZP) (IPS e.max Zircad Prime) has offered a solution to solve this problem be combining the esthetic of 5Y-TZP and the high strength of 3Y-TZP. The aim of the present study is to evaluate shade matching to natural tooth and patient satisfaction of the new gradient technology zirconia (5Y-TZP\3Y-TZP) and lithium disilicate ceramic crowns.
