Tracking Response to Antidepressants in Advance of Investigational Trials

Major Depressive Disorder

TRAIT is an open-label observational study to evaluate treatment response to selective-serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs) and selective-norepinephrine reuptake inhibitors (SNRIs) among individuals meeting criteria for Major Depressive Disorder (MDD) and seeking enrollment in investigational trials.

Pharmaco-Neuroimaging Studies of Approach/Avoidance Behaviors and Post-Mortem Studies: Study 1.2...

Major Depression in Remission

This study investigates how remitted individuals with past major depressive disorder (MDD) make approach-avoidance decisions and which brain regions are implicated in such decisions. Information collected through MRI and behavioral tasks will be used to predict depressive symptoms in the future.

A Study in Participants With Major Depressive Disorder (MDD) With Anhedonia and Inadequate Response...

Depressive DisorderMajor

The purpose of this study is to assess the socio-demographic, disease-related and treatment-related characteristics, and the standard of care (SOC) treatment patterns of participants with major depressive disorder (MDD) with anhedonia with inadequate response to their current antidepressant treatment and treated according to the standard of care treatment.

Pain, Reward, Attention and Neurocircuitry: Biomarkers of Suicidality

Major Depressive DisorderSuicide1 more

The ultimate aim of this study is to identify a biomarker of suicide risk in MDD by measuring the "hedonic spectrum" (pain and reward responsivity), attention and its associated brain structures using brain scans (fMRI and DTI), as well as the stability of markers over time.

Trans Care: An Online Intervention to Reduce Symptoms of Gender Dysphoria

Gender Dysphoria

The current project aims to improve the well-being of trans and nonbinary (TNB) individuals through an online intervention (Trans Care) targeting the reduction of symptoms of gender dysphoria. The Trans Care intervention will involve the creation of an online intervention comprised of eight modules intended to reduce symptoms of gender dysphoria, increase active coping, and improve the well-being of TNB individuals. Aim 1 is a feasibility and acceptability study of the proposed intervention and will enroll 100 TNB participants to provide feedback to inform a follow-up randomized controlled trial.

Technology-Assisted Implementation of a Mobile Health Program for Serious Mental Illness

SchizophreniaBipolar Disorder2 more

The goal of this clinical trial is to learn about how a digital training platform can enhance implementation and effectiveness of a validated mHealth system, called FOCUS, in people with serious mental illness. The main question this research aims to answer is whether patients obtain similar outcomes to previous FOCUS studies when using FOCUS with clinicians trained on a newly developed digital training platform. Participants will be asked to use the FOCUS smartphone application and receive mobile health coaching from clinicians who have been trained using the digital training platform.

First-In-Human (FIH), Single Ascending Dose (SAD) Study of FluoroEthylNorMemantine (FENM)

PTSDAlzheimer Disease4 more

The goal of this First-In-Human (FIH) trial is to learn about safety and PharmacoKinetics (PK) in healthy adult volunteers. The main questions it aims to answer are: What is the safety of single ascending doses of the FluoroEthylNorMemantine (FENM)? What is the PK profile of single ascending doses of the FENM in human? What is the preliminary exploratory time course of Brain Disease Neurotrophic Factor (BDNF) plasmatic levels of single ascending doses of the FENM? Participants will receive one single oral dose of FENM.

Targeting Specific Brain Networks to Treat Specific Symptoms in Depression

Major Depressive Disorder

Repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) is a way of non-invasively stimulating specific brain networks and is an established treatment for Major Depressive Disorder (MDD). This proposal will reveal network mechanisms of the therapeutic effects of rTMS by investigating how stimulating each network specifically changes network connectivity and behavior. This will be done in a highly individualized manner in depressed and healthy patients, leading to more effective and more individualized treatments for depression.

Depressive DisorderMajor

The purpose of this study is to assess the low-intensity focused ultrasound pulsation (LIFUP) neuromodulation on emotion processing in healthy individuals, and to assess the overall safety of the LIFUP to stimulate or inhibit brain activity in healthy volunteers.
