The study's hypothesis is that follow up at 2-3 weeks postpartum is associated with a higher rate of breastfeeding 6 months postpartum.

Functional recovery is of the utmost importance to evaluate in our returning Operation Enduring and Iraqi Freedom Veterans so that we can better understand their needs and experiences during the readjustment process from warzone to civilian life. Although most soldiers are resilient, concerning rates of PTSD (12-20%) and depression (14-15%) have been found, and as many as 24-35% report drinking more alcohol than they intended (Hoge et al., 2004). The current study proposes to follow returning Veterans for a one-year period to evaluate factors that influence the readjustment process and functional impairment. This information should guide the development of early intervention and treatment programs to help recovery.

PET Whole Body Distribution Studies Using [11C]CUMI

Background: Researchers studying new treatments for major depressive disorder are looking at how medications to treat depression act on the brain chemical serotonin, which interacts with specific serotonin receptors on brain cells. New methods of studying serotonin receptors in the brain may help provide a better understanding of depression and treatment options. A new radioactive chemical called [11C]CUMI may be useful for studying serotonin receptors in the brain. By using positron emission tomography (PET) scanning to see how [11C]CUMI bonds with serotonin receptors, researchers will investigate whether [11C]CUMI can be used to study depression and how antidepressant medications work. Objectives: - To determine the usefulness of [11C]CUMI as a method of studying serotonin receptors in the brain. Eligibility: - Healthy individuals between 18 and 65 who have no history of psychiatric illness. Design: This study requires 8 outpatient visits to the NIH clinic. Visit 1: Participants will have a full physical examination and medical history, as well as a psychiatric evaluation and questions about alcohol and drug use. Other tests will include blood and urine samples and an electrocardiogram (EKG). Testing will take approximately 3 hours. Visit 2: Participants will have a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scan to evaluate brain function and activity. Visit 3: Participants will have a PET scan, in which a small amount of the radioactive chemical [11C]CUMI will be injected through an intravenous (IV) catheter, and will have another IV line put in place to draw regular blood samples during the scan. The scan will last approximately 4 hours. Visits 4-8: Participants will have regular blood tests after the scan between days 1-3 and at about weeks 1, 2, 3, and 4. The blood tests will check muscle, heart, and liver function.

Objective: To evaluate the correlation between audiometric thresholds, pitch matching (PM), minimum masking level (MML), Tinnitus Handicap Inventory (THI) and the Beck Depression Inventory (BDI) in tinnitus patients. Subjects: 48 patients with tinnitus as the main complaint from OTOSUL, Otorrinolaringologia Sul-Fluminense, Volta Redonda, RJ, Brasil and Centro de Tratamento e Pesquisa em Zumbido, Belo Horizonte, MG, Brasil. Method: Subjects performed tonal audiometry, Pitch Matching (PM) and Minimum Masking Level (MML) for tinnitus. They also fulfilled the Tinnitus Handicap Inventory (THI) and Beck Depression Inventory (BDI). Data was statistically compared for correlation between audiometric thresholds, psycho-acoustic measures and questionnaires.

The complexity of cancer patients' symptoms and health problems constitutes considerable distress and burden for patients and their family caregivers. To help them manage the illness effectively, there is a need to better understand the complexity of symptoms and symptom clusters in patients and caregivers. Therefore, the purpose of this research is to explore a set of important fundamental research questions to advance the scientific knowledge of cancer patients' and caregivers' symptoms, symptom clusters and health-related quality of life. The investigators will follow 500 cancer patients and their caregivers with repeated measures over 6 months to assess their symptoms, symptom clusters, and quality of life over time. Caregiver burden will also be examined in the caregivers.

Effect of Deep Brain Stimulation on Depression and Quality of Life in Parkinson's Patients

We will evaluate the effect of deep brain stimulation on the depression and quality of life in Parkinson's disease. We aim to compare depression pre-operatively and post-operatively in Parkinson's patients with deep brain stimulation to Parkinson's patients evaluated and approved for deep brain stimulation but who did not complete surgery. We will also compare quality of life measures between patients with and without deep brain stimulation.
