This project utilised the validated glucocorticoid toxicity index (GTI) tool to assess the morbidity of glucocorticoid-use in patients with autoimmune bullous disease. In particular, the study investigated the nature and prevalence of glucocorticoid-induced myopathy.

Subjects are to be enrolled in this clinical study if they are 18 - 55 years old. Up to 120 subjects will be enrolled at multiple study centers. Subjects may receive up to 5 treatments for a wide array of dermatologic conditions in which electrocoagulation and hemostasis is a viable mechanism for means of improvement.

5 Day study to assess how quickly a topical acne product begins to work.

The purpose of this study is to determine if antibiotics are required in the management of skin abscess following incision and drainage.

Forty-five participants with facial AV were assigned randomly to three groups of fifteen subjects each. Each group received various therapies. Group A (Study group A) had received both NBUB and akne-Mycin; Group B( study group B) had received Red LLLT and akne-Mycin and group C (Control group) received only akne-Mycin cream. All 45 participants are tested at the initial treatments, after 4 weeks and after 8 weeks by the acne count, the intensity scale and the photographic test.

The main objective of this study is to compare subject's compliance and satisfaction for two modes of treatment of toenails infection (Onychomycosis) with Loceryl Nail Lacquer (Loceryl NL) and Ciclopirox Nail Lacquer (Ciclopirox NL).

Hypothesis: Using red djulis products can improve skin conditions

This study will investigate the non-inferiority of Belotero® Basic versus Juvéderm® Ultra 3 in the treatment of nasolabial folds

The University of North Carolina Department of Dermatology is conducting a clinical trial to evaluate a drug called cantharidin in the treatment of molluscum contagiosum. Molluscum is a common dermatologic disorder caused by a poxvirus. Molluscum typically presents with many flesh-colored bumps on the skin. It goes away on its own, though can last several months to several years. Cantharidin is a topical medicine which is applied at the clinic visit. It is well tolerated by the majority of children.

Background: -This protocol is concerned with the acquisition of blood, skin, or mucosal samples from healthy volunteers or patients with selected skin diseases to support the basic science and clinical research activities of the Dermatology Branch and other intramural Laboratories and Branches at the NIH Clinical Research Center. Objectives: (Primary) -To allow collection of blood, skin, or mucosal samples from healthy volunteers or patients with selected skin or systemic diseases as needed to support the research activities of our Branch and other Laboratories and Branches. Eligibility: Healthy individuals (including employees and other patients) and patients with selected skin or other diseases, including individuals of both genders and all racial/ethnic groups. Patient volunteers must be willing to undergo blood drawing and/or skin/mucosal biopsies. Design: -This is dependent upon the particular investigation for which these samples are needed.
