The purpose of this study is to determine whether metformin is effective and safe in the treatment of diabetes in pregnancy.

Introduction: According to the World Health Organization (WHO), approximately 150 million people worldwide have type 2 diabetes. Common and cassia cinnamon have been reported to have anti-diabetic and lipid-lowering effects. Objective: To determine if the combination common and cassia cinnamon product Cinnamonforce™ (Cinnamomum verum and C. aromaticum) reduces fasting blood glucose, insulin, glycosylated hemoglobin (HA1C), triglyceride, total cholesterol, HDL cholesterol and LDL cholesterol levels in people with type 2 diabetes. Methodology: Seventy (70) type 2 diabetic participants will be randomized to receive either 140 mg of Cinnamonforce twice daily or placebo over 12 weeks. Physical and laboratory measurements will be taken at baseline, 2 weeks, 4 weeks, 8 weeks and at the end of the trial, 13 weeks. Results: The differences in the measurements obtained from the group receiving Cinnamonforce and the placebo group will be analyzed and discussed.

Gestational diabetes is also a strong risk factor for the development of diabetes mellitus at a later stage of life in previous GDM woman. Among all the risk factors of diabetes mellitus, the experience of gestational diabetes is the strongest one. The incidence of various forms of diabetes in this group balances from 10 to 60% over a period from 2 to 10 years. The aim of this study is a comparison of the efficacy of life style modification and life style modification in conjunction with metformin administration, in a population of women, who had already experienced gestational diabetes.

This study is undertaken to explore in T2D, the effect of meal timing on serum induced SIRT1 and Clock Genes mRNA expression in cultured hepatocytes. Fasting serum samples were collected from T2D participants, following two different meal timing schedules, either a diet with large breakfast and lunch with small dinner Breakfast Diet (3Mdiet) or an isocaloric diet with 6 small meals evenly distributed along the day Allday Diet (6Mdiet). The researchers will use an ex-vivo/in-vitro approach in which cultured medium will be conditioned with the fasted human serum collected from the two groups of T2D participants at baseline, after 2 weeks and after 12 week of the diet intervention.

This is a multi-center, open-label, parallel-group, randomized controlled study in subjects with type 2 diabetes using multiple daily injection (MDI) insulin therapy. Subjects will be randomized to either receive the DC App and BD Nano 2nd Gen pen needles (intervention) or continue their standard of care using their current pen needle and diabetes management (control). The study will consist of four visits and two scheduled phone calls across a total of 10 weeks.

Continuous subcutaneous insulin infusion (CSII), known as insulin pump therapy, has been widely used for diabetes patients in recent years. Many clinical studies have proved the priority of CSII to multiple insulin injections including better glycaemic control with lower daily insulin requirement, lower glycated haemoglobin (HbA1c) level and reduced risk of severe hypoglycaemia. The best mode of CSII is a kind of programmed and individualized insulin infusion mode. But at present, the applying of insulin pump is mainly during hospitalization period in China, which is not conformed with daily living scenarios of patients. The outpatient insulin pump treatment is much closer to the real living scenarios of patients. However, lack of management experience and widely accepted formative model of insulin pump applying in clinic restricted use of insulin pumps in clinical in China. The investigators aimed to explore a safe and effective management mode of insulin pump operating to enable a wide population to have access to daily use of CSII, and to maximize the rational use of limited medical resources.

To compare the effect of dapagliflozin combined with CSII and CSII alone on glucose profile in newly diagnosed type 2 diabetes mellitus by continuous glucose monitoring system.
