Patient and Parent Preferences for an On-Body Automated Insulin Delivery System
Diabetes MellitusType 1The goal of this study is to learn more about patient and family preferences regarding use of advanced diabetes technologies. Young persons with type 1 diabetes (ages 8-25) and parents of young persons with type 1 diabetes will complete one study visit involving a semi-structured interview and surveys. The results of the study will be used to assist in the design of a new automated insulin delivery system.

DiabetesDiabetes Mellitus1 moreThis study is conducted in the United States of America (USA). The aim of the study is to assess longitudinal variation of immune biomarkers in subjects at risk for development of type 1 diabetes (T1D).
Evaluation of Biomarker Expression in Diabetic and Healthy Subjects Over a One Year Period
DiabetesDiabetes Mellitus4 moreThis study is conducted in the United States of America (USA). The aim of this study is to assess longitudinal variation of immune biomarkers in subjects with type 1 diabetes (T1D), type 2 diabetes (T2D) and healthy, non-diabetic subjects over a one year period.
Incidence of Retinopathy and Associated Risk Factors in Children and Young Adults With Type 1 Diabetes...
Type 1 DiabetesDiabetic RetinopathyThe objective of this study is to clarify the current diabetic status, including development of complications, in a nationwide cohort of type 1 diabetics, who were last examined together in a large study in 1995. These youngsters were originally participating in a nationwide study of children with type 1 diabetes in Denmark back in 1986. The investigators will try to establish risk factors for developing diabetic retinopathy. The investigators will have emphasis on retinal vessel geometry and the possibilities for early detection of reversible retinal changes, and prediction of other vascular complications.
Low Grade Inflammation in Type 1 Diabetes Children
Type 1 DiabetesInflammationThe study propose to measure the inflammation level in type 1 diabetes children with the cytokine analysis compared to non diabetic children of the same sibling and to healthy children.
Long Term Vascular Changes in Type 1 Diabetes
Diabetes MellitusType 12 moreThe main purpose of this study is to investigate progression of late complications of diabetes during the last ten years in a well characterized cohort of type 1 diabetes with a long duration of the disease, and to define factors responsible for the progression of late complications.

DiabetesDiabetes Mellitus3 moreThis trial is conducted in Europe. The aim of this observational study is to evaluate the blood glucose control (HbA1c) using NovoMix® 30 for treatment of type 1 and type 2 diabetes under normal clinical practice conditions in Romania.
Long Term Effects of Diabetes of Very Young Children
Type 1 DiabetesTo investigate neurocognitive and behavioral measures in 25 children aged 6-10 years diagnosed with diabetes for > 5 years who have received long-term insulin pump therapy (> 3 years) compared to a group of children matched for age, sex, glycemic control, and diabetes duration treated with insulin injections. Outcome measures will assess: clinical variables, cognitive status (intelligence, neuropsychological functioning), academic achievement, behavior, parenting stress, and quality of life. It is hypothesized that long term insulin pump therapy initiated during early childhood can delay the progression of neurocognitive complications of diabetes, decrease parental stress, and improve school performance and quality of life, as compared to insulin injections.
