A Canadian Study of the Effectiveness of Tresiba® (Insulin Degludec) After Switching Basal Insulin...
Diabetes MellitusType 12 moreThe purpose of this study is to collect historical data in real life conditions in a large group of people who have type 1 or type 2 diabetes and were treated with Tresiba® (insulin degludec) for at least 6 months. Data will be collected beginning 6 months before the participant started Tresiba® up to around 6 months after the participant started taking insulin degludec.

Impact of Social Distancing on Bariatric Versus Non-Surgical Obese Patients During COVID-19 Pandemic...
Diabetes MellitusType 23 moreIn response to the COVID-19 pandemic, weight management programs and metabolic surgery have been deferred to contain the virus. Quarantine and social distancing negatively impact dietary, exercise and psychological health of obese individuals. The study aims to evaluate the impact of social distancing measures on post-metabolic surgery patients compare to non-surgical obese patients and discuss potential strategies for management post COVID-19.
Prevalence of Hypertension in Type-2 Diabetes Mellitus
Prevalence of Elevated Blood Pressure in Type-2 DiabeticsCardiovascular disease is the most prevalent cause of morbidity and mortality in diabetic patients. Hypertension has been confirmed as a major risk factor for cardiovascular disease, which is frequently associated with diabetes mellitus. Therefore, the detection and management of elevated blood pressure (BP) is a critical component of the comprehensive clinical management of diabetics. Since the rates of hypertension in diabetics are lacking in Afghanistan, this study aimed to evaluate the prevalence of elevated blood pressure in type-2 diabetic patients.

Glycemic Profile by CGMS in Diabetic Patients After Bariatric Surgery
Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus in ObeseBariatric Surgery CandidateThe aim of this observational prospective monocentric study is to examine glycemic patterns in adult T2D patients candidates to bariatric surgery, by using a continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) sensor over 14 days post-surgery, in order to search for indicators predicting T2D remission 1 year after surgery.
Biorepository of Biospecimen Samples in Matched Healthy Control Participants and Participants Diagnosed...
Diabetic Kidney DiseaseDiabetes Type 22 moreThe Investigators will generate a repository of human biosamples across therapeutic areas that will be used to identify disease-associated biomarkers and potential targets with immune and multi-omics profiling. This sample collection and analysis from people living with type 2 diabetes, or chronic or diabetic kidney disease will lay the groundwork for an extensive network of biosample access and linked datasets that will provide an invaluable resource for translational research.
Validation of Existing Diabetes Risk Models in a Swedish Population
Type2diabetesThe goal of this observational study is to validate existing non-invasive diabetes clinical prediction models in a Swedish population. The main question it aims to answer is: how well 11 existing models will perform in predicting incident type 2 diabetes in participants from the Västerbotten Intervention programme (VIP). Participants in VIP are residents of Västerbotten that are invited for a comprehensive health screening at 30- (until 1995), 40-, 50-, and 60-years of age.
Endocan Biomarker Level in Gingival Crevicular Fluid in Periodontitis Patients With Type 2 Diabetes...
PeriodontitisDiabetes MellitusAim of the current study was to evaluate Endocan biomarker level in gingival crevicular fluid of patients with stage 1 or 2 (mild to moderate) periodontitis with controlled type 2 diabetes mellitus (DM) and compare it to that in DM free periodontitis patients.
Physical Activity and Mortality in Type 2 Diabetes
Diabetes MellitusType 2The primary aim of study is to study the association between leisure-time physical activity and all-cause mortality among individuals with type 2 diabetes in the UK Biobank cohort and the China Kadoorie Biobank cohort. Secondary outcomes are CVD-mortality (both cohorts) and risk of major adverse cardiovascular events (UK Biobank only). Secondary exposures are physical activity from transportation and occupation.
