Diabetes Engagement and Activation Platform

Type 2 Diabetes (T2D)

The following are hypothesized: The Diabetes Engagement and Activation Platform (DEAP) can be integrated into primary care workflow to facilitate the care of patients with type 2 diabetes. The DEAP intervention will be feasible and acceptable to patients with type 2 diabetes. The DEAP intervention will enhance patient activation and improve type 2 diabetes self management and glucose control

An Assessment of Pharmacokinetic Gemigliptin and Metformin Interactions in Healthy Mexican Volunteers...

Diabetes MellitusType 2

This is an open, randomized (randomization ratio: 1:1), multiple dose, three way, three period cross over study to assess the potential for drug drug interactions between gemigliptin (a DPP-IV inhibitor mainly metabolized by CYP3A4) and metformin in a sample of healthy Mexican volunteers, aimed to determine whether the observed lack of drug-drug interactions between gemigliptin and metformin in the Korean population is reproducible in an ethnically different population characterized by a significant difference in the frequency of CYP3A4 polymorphisms associated with decreased enzymatic activity, such as CYP3A4*1b, in comparison with Asian populations.

Clinical Trial Assessing the GNbAC1 in Patients With Onset of Type 1 Diabetes Within 4 Years

Diabetes Mellitus Type 1

The monoclonal antibody GNbAC1 targets the envelope protein (Env) of the human endogenous Multiple Sclerosis associated RetroVirus (MSRV), which could play a critical role in different autoimmune disorders, notably type 1 diabetes (T1D). This study is a multicentre study evaluating for the first time the safety and efficacy of GNbAC1 in T1D subjects for a first bouble-blind period of 20 weeks followed by an optional open-label period of 24 weeks. The primary objective of the study is to assess the safety and tolerability of six consecutive 4-weekly doses of GNbAC1 in subjects with T1D. Secondary objectives are to determine the pharmacodynamic response to GNbAC1 on biomarkers of T1D.

Efficacy and Safety of Semaglutide Versus Canagliflozin as add-on to Metformin in Subjects With...

DiabetesDiabetes Mellitus1 more

This trial is conducted in Africa, Asia, Europe, North and South America. The aim of the trial is to compare the effect of once-weekly (OW) dosing of subcutaneous semaglutide (1.0 mg) versus once-daily dosing of oral canagliflozin (300 mg) on glycaemic control in subjects with type 2 diabetes (T2D) on a background treatment of metformin

Comparison of SAR341402 to NovoLog/NovoRapid in Adult Patients With Diabetes Mellitus Also Using...

Type 1 Diabetes Mellitus-Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus

Primary Objective: To demonstrate non-inferiority of SAR341402 versus NovoLog/NovoRapid in glycated hemoglobin A1c (HbA1c) change from baseline to Week 26 in participants with type 1 or type 2 diabetes mellitus (T1DM or T2DM) also using Lantus®. Secondary Objectives: To assess the immunogenicity of SAR341402 and NovoLog/NovoRapid in terms of positive/negative status and anti-insulin antibody (AIA) titers during the course of the study. To assess the relationship of AIAs with efficacy and safety. To assess the efficacy of SAR341402 and NovoLog/NovoRapid in terms of proportion of participants reaching HbA1c lesser than (<) 7.0% and change in HbA1c, fasting plasma glucose (FPG), and self-measured plasma glucose (SMPG) profiles from baseline to Week 26 and Week 52 (only Week 52 for HbA1c). To assess safety of SAR341402 and NovoLog/NovoRapid.

Comparison of Metformin and Insulin for Management of Gestational Diabetes Mellitus

Gestational Diabetes Mellitus in Pregnancy

Gestational diabetic mellitus (GDM) patients randomised to metformin or insulin group.Aim was to achieve blood sugar levels of Blood sugar fasting (BSF) <5.3 mmol/l and 1 hour post meal<7.8mmol/l. Both groups were followed till delivery and outcome studied.

Efficacy and Safety of Oral Semaglutide Versus Placebo in Subjects With Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus...

DiabetesDiabetes Mellitus1 more

This trial is conducted globally. The aim of the trial is to investigate the efficacy and safety of oral semaglutide versus placebo in subjects with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus treated with insulin. All subjects should continue their pre-trial insulin therapy (basal, basal-bolus or premixed regimen including combinations of soluble insulins) throughout the trial. Subjects treated with metformin in addition to insulin treatment must continue their metformin treatment throughout the entire trial.
