Spastic Hemiplegic Cerebral PalsyCerebral Palsy (CP) is a disorder of the development of movement and posture, causing activity limitations attributed to nonprogressive disturbances of the fetal or infant brain that may also affect sensation, perception, cognition, communication, and behavior. Motor control during reaching, grasping, and walking are disturbed by spasticity, dyskinesia, hyperreflexia, excessive coactivation of antagonist muscles, retained developmental reactions, and secondary musculoskeletal malformations, together with paresis and defective programing. Weakness and hypoextensibility of the muscles are due not only to inadequate recruitment of motor units, but also to changes in mechanical stresses and hormonal factors. As it affects the children, therefore it should be emphasized. Effect of Augmented Reality (AR) based therapeutic games on the range of motion, muscle strength,function of upper limb and balance of spastic hemiplegic cerebral palsy children would be assessed through goniometer, manual muscle testing (MMT), disability of Arms, Shoulders, and Hand (DASH) questionnaire, and Pediatric Berg Balance Scale, respectively.

Cerebral PalsyThe human body needs a system to control and coordinate its action plan in order to perform an effective action. This system works irregularly or inappropriately in people with Cerebral Palsy (CP). An alternative to controlling these disorders is automatic movement modulation such as dance. Dance, whose main purpose is to achieve a satisfying motor performance, increases motor learning with sensory, perceptual and emotional components. Although the effects of dance therapy on functionality, balance and participation in people with CP have been previously examined in the literature, it has been reported that the evidence is insufficient and more studies are needed. The aim of this study is to examine the effects of adaptive dance exercise program on trunk control, balance and functional mobility in children and adolescents with Cerebral Palsy.

This influences enjoyment and participation in regular therapy programmes and may result in reduced adherence to therapy or exercise regimes, limiting effectiveness. This study will build on the team's previous work to explore the potential use of Virtual-Reality (VR) technologies in rehabilitation; particularly systems that can be used at home to increase accessibility and reduce need to attend clinics for therapy. During the co-production events of the VR4REHAB Inter Regional North West Europe (NWE) funded programme in 2018, young people desired the use of commercial games for therapeutic purposes. This work has enabled connections between affordable computer technologies: the Raspberry Pi, VR headsets and freely available commercial games. This 2-Phased project is therefore exploring the potential of commercially available virtual reality (VR) systems consoles and games for use in rehabilitation programmes. The Investigators hope to gain information on: Whether commercially produced VR games can provide a motivating environment to support adherence to therapy Whether it is possible to improve reaching and grasp-release hand movements through this method Gain an understanding of the ages of children and young people most likely to benefit from home-based VR therapy User evaluation and performance data and therapist evaluations will be collected and compared to baseline data to provide information on usability, accessibility, acceptability and adaptability.

Cerebral PalsySpasticThis study aimed to investigate the effect of individualized virtual reality therapy on upper extremity functions of children with hemiparetic cerebral palsy. Forty children (26 boys, 14 girls) with spastic hemiparetic cerebral palsy were included in this study. The primary outcome measure of this study was the Quality of Upper Extremity Skill Test, secondary outcome measures were the Modified Ashworth Scale and the "Reaching Map Test". The children were randomized into two groups. The first group was received conventional physiotherapy and virtual reality therapy for 60 minutes.The second group was received conventional physiotherapy and, activity training which the same movement patterns with virtual reality games for 60 minutes. Both treatments were given three times a week for eight weeks.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of CO-OP approach in terms of occupational performance and satisfaction also functional status in children with cerebral palsy (CP) and to determine parents' satisfaction level from CO-OP. The hypotheses of the study are: The CO-OP approach has no effect on occupational performance in children with CP. CO-OP approach has no effect on occupational satisfaction in children with CP. The CO-OP approach has no effect on the functional status of children with CP.
