The S22 study investigates, in a cross-sectional study, the ability of algorithms that analyse acoustic and linguistic patterns of spoken language to predict the presence of amyloid positivity in early stage Alzheimer's disease, specifically in Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI) and cognitively normal (CN) cohorts; and whether similar algorithms can predict cognitive functioning, in classifying MCI vs CN.

The trajectory of dementia patients within the national health system and their recent temporal trends remains to be fully elucidated. To study the dementia incidence, mortality and case-fatality, we implemented a longitudinal cohort study with the linked electronic health records of 5.6 million population in the UK from 1998 to 2016 (CALIBER). A matched case-control study design was used to investigate the causes of hospitalization and death comparing individuals with and without incident dementia.

This study will perform a targeted metabolic analysis in blood and urine samples from subjects attending the Baylor AT&T Memory Center. The aim is to identify novel biomarkers that can distinguish normal aging subjects with no cognitive impairment from those with mild, moderate or severe cognitive impairment associated with Alzheimer's disease. Subjects will also be screened for B-vitamin deficiencies that may correlate with other metabolic biomarkers and Alzheimer's disease.

Establishment of a BNA reference database for the Adult and Elderly Population. Hypothesis-generating study designed to collect data that will aid in future scientific and engineering exploration of correlations between clinical assessments and BNA scores. The results are primarily intended for scientific inquiry and engineering development purposes, and may be used in future regulatory submissions.

The purpose of this study is to compare exposure to general anesthesia between cases with a diagnosis of Alzheimer´s disease and controls without diagnosis, through studies of medical records. The investigators wish to explore if there is a relationship between exposure to general anesthesia and the development of Alzheimer´s disease.

The HKU Neurocognitive Disorder (NCD) Cohort is a hospital-based, prospective, observational study of older HK Chinese adults with cognitive impairment, with a special focus on studying patients with subjective cognitive decline and mild cognitive impairment.

The aim of this project is to examine the serotonergic transmitter system using functional imaging of the brain (positron emission tomography [PET]) to gain knowledge about early pathophysiological changes in Alzheimer's dementia and mood disorders.

The white matter change of the Alzheimer's disease could be studied by diffusion tensor image and MR spectroscopy to see the microstructral and biochemical change.
