Phase I/IIa Trial of Folate Binding Protein Vaccine in Ovarian Cancer
Ovarian CancerEndometrial Cancer2 moreFolate binding protein (FBP) is highly over-expressed in breast, ovarian and endometrial cancers and is the source of immunogenic peptides (E39) that can stimulate cytotoxic T lymphocytes (CTL) to recognize and destroy FBP-expressing cancer cells in the laboratory. The purpose of this study is to test whether a peptide-based vaccine consisting of the E39 peptide mixed with the FDA-approved immunoadjuvant granulocyte macrophage colony-stimulating factor (GM-CSF) is safe and effective at inducing an in vivo peptide-specific immune response. Furthermore, the investigators intend to determine the best dose of the vaccine to utilize to produce this immunity most efficiently. The investigators will determine whether immunity to FBP will prevent clinical recurrence. Additionally, the investigators will compare these results with results from a trial utilizing the E75 peptide (from the HER2/neu protein) in ovarian and endometrial cancer patients in preparation for studying a combination vaccine.
Letrozole in Treating Women With Recurrent or Metastatic Endometrial Cancer
Endometrial CancerRATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy use different ways to stop tumor cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. PURPOSE: Phase II trial to study the effectiveness of letrozole in treating women who have recurrent or metastatic endometrial cancer.
Stereotactic Radiosurgery Using CyberKnife in Treating Women With Advanced or Recurrent Gynecological...
Fallopian Tube CancerOvarian Sarcoma24 moreRATIONALE: Stereotactic radiosurgery can send x-rays directly to the tumor and cause less damage to normal tissue. PURPOSE: This clinical trial studies stereotactic radiosurgery using CyberKnife works in treating women with advanced or recurrent gynecological malignancies.
Study of XL147 (SAR245408) in Advanced or Recurrent Endometrial Carcinoma
Endometrial CancerEndometrial NeoplasmsThere has not been any systemic therapy approved in the United States or in Europe for treating advanced or recurrent endometrial cancer (EC). This study will evaluate the safety and preliminary efficacy of XL147 in advanced or recurrent EC. Constitutively active phosphatidylinositol-3 kinase (PI3K)/phosphatase and tensin homolog on chromosome 10 (PTEN) pathway signaling is common in EC and involved in the development and/or progression of the disease. PTEN deficiency and/or activating mutations/amplification in the PIK3CA gene that encodes the p110α catalytic subunit of PI3K have been frequently detected in EC patients. XL147 is a potent and highly selective inhibitor of the Class I PI3K family of lipid kinases. In addition, in vivo preclinical data have demonstrated that XL147 targets both proximal and distal signaling in the PI3K/PTEN pathway. Therefore, XL147 may have utility in the treatment of subjects with advanced or recurrent EC.
Metformin and Temsirolimus in Treating Patients With Metastatic or Unresectable Solid Tumor or Lymphoma...
Breast CancerEndometrial Cancer5 moreRATIONALE: Metformin and temsirolimus may stop the growth of cancer cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. PURPOSE: This phase I trial is studying the side effects and best dose of metformin when given together with temsirolimus in treating patients with metastatic or unresectable solid tumor or lymphoma.
Topotecan in Treating Patients With Gynecologic Cancer That Cannot Be Removed by Surgery
Cervical CancerEndometrial Cancer5 moreRATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as topotecan, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells or by stopping them from dividing. PURPOSE: This phase I trial is studying the side effects and best dose of topotecan in treating patients with gynecologic cancer that cannot be removed by surgery.
Papillary Serous Carcinoma of the Endometrium
Endometrial CancerPrimary Objectives: To evaluate the results of Paclitaxel and pelvic radiation in pelvic confined papillary serous carcinoma of the endometrium for both local control and overall survival. To evaluate the toxicity of Paclitaxel and pelvic radiation. To collect and evaluate patients' quality of life/symptom assessment data.

Endometrial CancerPurpose of this study is to determine the effectiveness of the drug combination carboplatin, paclitaxel, and bevacizumab(Avastin) in patients with advanced stage endometrial carcinoma.
Antitumoral Activity and Safety of AEZS-108 in Women With LHRH Receptor Positive Gynecological Tumors...
Ovarian CancerEndometrial CancerThe purpose of this study is to determine whether AEZS-108 shows anti-tumor activity and is tolerated in patients with gynecological tumors (ovarian / endometrial cancer) that have been shown to express receptors for the luteinizing hormone releasing hormone (LHRH)
Temsirolimus, Carboplatin, and Paclitaxel in Treating Patients With Advanced Solid Tumors
Ovarian SarcomaOvarian Stromal Cancer11 moreThis phase I trial is studying the side effects and best dose of temsirolimus, carboplatin, and paclitaxel in treating patients with advanced solid tumors. Temsirolimus may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as carboplatin and paclitaxel, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells or by stopping them from dividing. Giving temsirolimus together with chemotherapy may kill more tumor cells.
