Εffectiveness of Intrauterine Antibiotic Administration for Treatment of Chronic Endometritis
Chronic EndometritisChronic Endometritis (CE) is related to infertility and entails a challenging management. This study investigates the treatment of off-label intrauterine antibiotic infusion either separately or combined with oral antibiotic administration, and it assesses respective performance against the gold standard treatment of oral antibiotic adminstration. Data sourced herein reports on treatment efficiency, defined as a negative diagnosis for chronic endometritis.
Endometriosis and Chronic Endometritis
EndometriosisPelvic Pain1 morePelvic endometriosis is a complex estrogen-dependent inflammatory syndrome of unknown etiology, altering the microenvironment of the peritoneal cavity and probably endometrial receptivity, and adversely affecting the physiological processes associated with fertilization. Literature data suggest that the distribution of immune system cells in the eutopic endometrium in the presence of endometriosis differs from the physiological state. The functioning of the immune system seems to be significantly modified not only in the foci of endometriosis, but also in the eutopic endometrium, affecting its physiological functions. Chronic endometritis (CE) is a potential factor impairing endometrial receptivity in the course of endometriosis. However, it is not known whether CE is one of the complications of endometriosis or perhaps an element of its pathogenesis. At the moment, endometrial diagnostics is not obligatory in the treatment of endometriosis in women of reproductive age, but it could potentially bring additional benefits and contribute to the improvement of obstetric results and increase the effectiveness of infertility treatment in women with endometriosis.
Mid-Infrared Spectroscopy as a Real Time Diagnostic Tool for Chronic Endometritis
EndometritisIVFThe Investigator propose to develop an in-vitro technique for the measurement and analysis of freshly excised biopsies during hysteroscopy procedure in patients with suspected Chronic Endometritis (CE) condition. Furthermore, the investigator propose to develop a discrimination model between the CE and inflammatory CE types using the measured spectroscopic data from freshly excised biopsies.
Diagnostics of Chronic Endometritis in Infertility
Infertility UnexplainedChronic endometritis (CE) is characterized by the presence of atypical plasma cell infiltrates (CD138 positive) in the endometrial stroma. Recent analyzes suggest that CE adversely affects fertility by reducing endometrial receptivity, impairing decidualization and uterine contractility, thus increasing the risk of recurrent pregnancy loss and implantation failure. It is likely that a significant proportion of idiopathic infertility cases are due to CE. The diagnosis of CE is a challenge because the clinical examination and transvaginal ultrasonography are considered non-specific. The recent scientific research has been aimed at identifying hysteroscopic CE diagnostic criteria and establishing the compatibility of ultrasonographic, hysteroscopic, histopathological (including the use of immunohistochemical testing with antibodies against human CD138) and microbiological diagnoses. Preliminary literature results suggested that successful treatment of CE with antibiotics could improve live birth rates.
Confounding Factors of Chronic Endometritis in Women With Reproductive Failure
IVFThe aim of the study is to investigate the confounding factors of chronic endometritis and therapeutic benefits of antibodies targeting plasma cells in women with reproductive failure.
Pharmacokinetics and Safety of Ertapenem in the Postpartum Period
EndometritisThe investigators are doing this study to learn more about the dosing and safety of ertapenem in women with suspected serious infections less than 42 days from the delivery of their infant.
Treatment Utility of Postpartum Antibiotics in Chorioamnionitis
The Primary Outcome of This Study Will be the Rate of EndometritisTo determine if prophylactic postpartum antibiotics are required post-cesarean delivery for pregnancies with treated chorioamnionitis.
Efficacy of Dead Sea Peloid Gel in Chronic Endometritis
Chronic EndometritisThis study evaluates the effect of Dead Sea Peloid Gel in the treatment of Chronic Endometritis in women with reproductive disorders. Half of participants will receive Dead Sea Peloid Gel and antibiotics, while the other half will receive Placebo Gel and antibiotics. Patients with reproductive disorders who visited Research Medical Center of Family Health Problems and Human Reproduction were recruited.

Intrauterine Antibiotic Infusion in Treating Chronic Endometritis and Restoring Reproductive Dynamics...
Chronic EndometritisChronic Endometritis (CE) is related to infertility and entails a challenging management. This study investigates the treatment of off-label intrauterine antibiotic infusion (IAI) combined with oral antibiotic administration (OAA), and it assesses respective performance against the gold standard treatment of OAA. Data sourced herein reports on treatment efficiency and fertility restoration for both patients aiming to conceive naturally or via In Vitro fertilization (IVF).
