The purpose of this study is to test the safety and effectiveness of Losartan potassium in subjects with eosinophilic esophagitis (EoE) including those with a connective tissue disorder (CTD) and those without a CTD.

The purpose of this interventional study is to test and compare the effectiveness of two elimination diets-the 1-food elimination diet (1FED, milk only) and the 4-food elimination diet (4FED, milk, egg, wheat, and soy) for eosinophilic esophagitis (EoE). The study will also test the effectiveness of swallowed glucocorticoid therapy in some of the study participants for whom diet therapy was not effective.

A study in adolescents and adults with eosinophilic esophagitis (EoE) to measure the histologic response and determine if any reduction in dysphagia is achieved.

The primary aim of this study was to determine the proportion of patients with esophageal eosinophilic infiltration that have objective (measurable) evidence of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD). This study was also done to see if patients that have eosinophilic esophagitis (EE) and GERD would receive relief from taking the medication Nexium or a steroid called Pulmicort. The study also evaluated the accuracy of pH monitoring (acid exposure) within the esophagus as a predictor of endoscopic, histological and symptomatic response in patients with EE.

The purpose of this study is to test the effects (both good and bad) of high dose swallowed fluticasone propionate (Flovent) in subjects with eosinophilic esophagitis (EoE).

Evaluate clinical effectiveness of oral montelukast compared to placebo on prevention of dysphagia and food impaction in patients with EE. Also evaluate tolerance and safety of oral montelukast in treatment of EE.

This was a randomized controlled trial of swallowed fluticasone vs. placebo for eosinophilic esophagitis. Eosinophilic esophagitis is an inflammatory condition in which the wall of the esophagus becomes filled with large numbers of eosinophils, a type of white blood cell. Patients who have this condition have difficulty in swallowing (dysphagia) solid food. Prior to treatment the patients had biopsies of their esophagus and took questionnaires regarding their symptoms. Treatment was given for 6 weeks, after which biopsies were taken from the esophagus to measure any changes in the tissue from before treatment. The primary endpoint was improvement in dysphagia as measured by the validated Mayo Dysphagia Questionaire. Secondary outcomes included partial symptom response, and histologic (tissue) response to treatment.

This is a Phase 3, multi-center, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study to assess the efficacy and safety of lirentelimab (AK002) given monthly for 6 doses in adult patients with active eosinophilic duodenitis. Subjects who complete the randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled treatment may have the option to receive 6 doses of open-label lirentelimab (AK002) through the OLE Period of the study.

This is a single-site, double-blind, placebo-controlled, randomized trial to study efficacy and safety of the Viaskin® Milk Patch for children with milk induced Eosinophilic Esophagitis (EoE). 20 subjects will be randomized 3:1 to Viaskin® Milk or placebo patch.

This is a prospective single center clinical trial of allergen-specific immune signature-guided dietary elimination therapy to assess the clinical effectiveness of this technique.
