Comparison of a Spectral OCT/SLO With the Stratus OCT for Imaging Various Retinal Pathologies
Macular HoleRPE Detachment2 moreThe purpose of this study is to compare the newly released Spectral OCT/SLO (OTI, Toronto, Canada) with the Zeiss Stratus OCT (Carl-Zeiss Meditec, Dublin, CA) with regards to the quality of the images obtained as well as the ease of use.
Epiretinal Membrane and Cystoid Macular Oedema Post-cataract Surgery
Pseudophakic Cystoid Macular OedemaEpiretinal MembraneThis study examines whether the presence of an epiretinal membrane affects the time to resolution, requirement for non-topical treatment, and outcome of pseudophakic cystoid macular oedema.
Fovea ERM After Fovea-sparing ILM Peeling
Epiretinal MembraneInternal Limiting Membrane WrinklingTo report cases who had received previous fovea-sparing internal limiting peeling membrane and developed secondary fovea epiretinal membrane contraction
The Role of Intravitreal Glucose in Macular Thinning Following Surgery for Retinal Detachment or...
VitrectomyMacular ThinningComparison between intravitreous glucose rate and macular thinning measured by Ocular Coherence Tomography (OCT) at 3 months post vitrectomy for retinal detachment or epimacular membrane. Hypothesis : Association between post-operative macular thickness and intravitreous glucose rate
Prognostic Factors in Epiretinal Membrane Surgery
Epiretinal MembranesRetrospective interventional case series study reporting preoperative clinical and anatomical factors associated with visual recovery 1 year after combined cataract and idiopathic epiretinal membrane surgery. Age, duration of symptoms, and preoperative best corrected visual acuity appeared to be reliable prognostic factors. Combining these factors with analysis of the photoreceptors' inner and outer segments junction in spectral-domain optical coherence tomography provides a predictive score to estimate individual chances of good visual recovery
Membrane Blue Versus Infracyanine Green
Macular PuckerMacular HoleTo compare possible toxicities of membrane blue and infracyanine green in vivo by macular function and peripheral visual field.
Gene Expression in Patients With Epiretinal Membranes
Proliferative Diabetic RetinopathyThe purpose of this study was to investigate the expression of selected genes both in epiretinal membranes (ERMs) and peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) from patients with primary and secondary epiretinal membranes in proliferative diabetic retinopathy. Possible correlations between messenger ribonucleic acid (mRNA) levels of these genes were also identified.
Cultivation of Hyalocytes From ILM and ERM Samples: a Pilot Study
Epiretinal MembraneILM and ERM are routinely excised during surgery, as part of the surgical technique, and cultivation of hyalocytes will be performed ex vivo after surgery.
Optical Coherence Tomography - Rescan During Dissection of Macular Membranes
Macular HoleEpiretinal Membrane2 moreIn our study , the investigators will use the microscope with OCT ( Lumera with RESCAN OCT ) coupled to assess the extent , depth and change of retinal architecture in the perioperative period . Thus , they will evaluate what the optimal maneuvers of dissection of macular membranes to obtain a more satisfactory result of the rearrangement in the retinal layers . Furthermore , the use of OCT perioperative may dispense with the use of dyes , decreasing the concentration used or reduce the exposure time. Thus, they can get the potential decrease in retinal toxicity may be generated by them.
Evaluation of Multifocal ERG and Visual Field Changes After Vitrectomy and ILM Peeling
Epiretinal MembraneTo evulate changes in MfERG, VF and OCT after viterctomy associated with ILM peeling.
