Surgical ProcedureUnspecified3 moreTo evaluate a technique using resected medial rectus muscle transplantation for elongation of Lateral rectus tendon as a monocular surgery for large angle sensory exotropia.
Surgery and Convergence Insufficiency Intermittent Exotropia
ComplicationsThis trial aims to determine which treatment modality is better for treatment of the convergence insufficiency subtype of intermittent exotropia.
Basic Intermittent Exotropia and Risk Factors for Postoperative Overcorrection and Under Correction...
StrabismusTo evaluate preoperative risk factors for overcorrection and undercorrection following surgery for basic intermittent exotropia such as axial length of the globe, refractive error, age and sex
Comparison of Two Treatments for Strabismus Correction: Botulinum Toxin A Associated to Surgery...
EsotropiaExotropiaTwo different treatments were given to large angle horizontal strabismus (eso and exotropia) adult patients who agree to participate of the study. Inform consents were required for participants. Group 1 (12 patients) received conventional recess-resect surgery plus intraoperative injection of botulinum toxin A (5U). Group 2 (11 patients) received only conventional recess-resect surgery. The patients were randomly located in one of the groups. The angles of horizontal deviation were compared between the groups before and six months after treatment.

Intermittent ExotropiaThis study was conducted to evaluate results of slanted recession of the lateral rectus muscle for intermittent exotropia with convergence weakness
Protective Effect of Biodegradable Collagen Implant (Ologen) in Scleral Thinning After Strabismus...
Exotropia or Intermittent ExotropiaThis study is to investigate protective effect of biodegradable collagen implant in scleral showing after lateral rectus recession in patients with exotropia.
Office Based Vergence and Accommodative Therapy and Intermittent Exotropia
Intermittent ExotropiaThis pilot study is designed specifically to determine the short-term effect of OBVAT on intermittent exotropia in terms of 4 key areas (Standardizing reported outcomes of surgery for intermittent exotropia): control score, alignment, near stereoacuity and quality of life score. Result of this pilot study will be used to determine whether a full-scale RCT should be conducted to evaluate the short and long term effectiveness of OBVAT.
Part-time Patch Therapy for Treatment of Intermittent Exotropia
Intermittent ExotropiaIntermittent exotropia is the most common type of exotropia in children. Treatment options are surgical and non surgical. Nonsurgical management include Correction of refractive errors, Active orthoptic treatments, Prisms and Occlusion therapy. Benefits of patch therapy are limiting suppression, reducing the frequency and amplitude of the deviation, changing the nature of the deviation (from constant to intermittent exotropia or from intermittent exotropia to exophoria), however, there is a concern that occlusion of the eyes may cause fusion failure and worsen deviation control. According to a few number of studies and controversy among the results of investigations, the investigators designed this randomized clinical trial study to determine the effect of partial patch therapy on the deviation control of children with intermittent exotropia.
