A Study of the Drugs AGN-242428 and AGN-231868 in Participants With Dry Eye Disease
Dry Eye DiseaseDry Eye SyndromeThis will be a 2 stage study in which Stage 1 will evaluate the safety of AGN-242428 and AGN-231868, how well they are tolerated and how they move through the body when administered. After the sponsor's determination of adequate safety and tolerability of the interventions in Stage 1, Stage 2 will begin. Stage 2 will also evaluate the safety and tolerability of AGN-242428 and AGN-231868, how effective they are in treating dry eye disease and assess the plasma and tear exposure of both ophthalmic solutions.

Efficacy and Safety of ab Interno Trabeculectomy With the Kahook Dual Blade
GlaucomaOpen-Angle5 moreThe Kahook Dual Blade is a single-use device specially designed to create a clean cut in the trabecular meshwork. This ablation in the trabecular meshwork allows a better outflow of the aqueous humor, thus reducing the intraocular pressure (IOP), theoretically beyond the IOP reduction achieved by other minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS) devices. Studies already published showed good results in terms of the reduction of the number of glaucoma medications and the reduction in the IOP, but not a single study has been performed prospectively comparing the efficacy of the technique, not even with the cataract surgery.

Management of Dry Eye Disease After Cataract Surgery With Topical Hyaluronic Acid and Gingko Biloba...
Dry Eye SyndromesCataract surgery is one of the main causes of Dry Eye Disease (DED). This paper aimed at evaluating the prevalence of iatrogenic DED on a population of patients without DED receiving cataract surgery, and the impact of an eyedrop containing hyaluronic acid and gingko biloba (HA-GB, Trium free eyedrops, Sooft srl, Italy). In this phase-IV trial we enrolled 40 patients with no DED. Patients were seen at baseline, day 1, week 1 and week 4. At each visit patients received Ocular Surface Disease Index (OSDI) questionnaire, Anterior segment ophthalmoscopy with grading of conjunctival hyperemia, fluorescein tear break-up time (TBUT), grading of fluorescein corneal staining (epithelial damage); adherence and tolerability using a visual analogue scale were checked at week 1 and 4. At day 0 patients underwent cataract surgery (2.4 mm temporal incision) and were randomized to standard postoperative care (control group) or standard postoperative care + HA-GB given three times a day for 4 weeks (HA-GB group).
