Severe Hemophilia A With an Inhibitor

FENOC is a prospective, open-label, randomized, cross-over, multi-center study to investigate and compare the hemostatic effect and cost-efficacy of two different by-passing agents in the treatment of joint hemorrhages in subjects with severe hemophilia A and inhibitors. The study is designed as a clinical equivalency trial.

A Research Study Looking at How a Factor VIII Medicine Called Turoctocog Alfa Pegol (N8-GP) Works...

Congenital Bleeding DisorderHaemophilia A

This study will look at how a known study medicine N8-GP works in previously N8-GP treated people with haemophilia A. The aim is to look at how N8-GP works during regular use. Participants will get N8-GP. N8-GP has been tested in more than 200 people with haemophilia A for several years. Participants will get an injection of N8-GP into a blood vessel, one, two or three times weekly. Participants will get more doses if they bleed or if they will need a surgery. The study will last for about 2 years. Participants will have at least 9 visits with the study doctor. If participants agree to be in this study, they will get their first injection (in this study) at the first visit. Participants will also get an injection at visit 3, 5 and 7. Participants will be trained to give all other injections themselves. Participants must not use any clotting factors other than N8-GP or any anticoagulants (blood thinners) during the study.

Hemophilia A or B With Inhibitor

The purpose of this multicentre, randomized, double-blinded, single dose, two-way cross-over study, is to compare the pharmacokinetics (PK) and pharmacodynamic (PD) of two different doses of the biosimilar eptacog alfa (activated) with Novoseven in 48 patients, adult and children (>12 years), not bleeding, with hemophilia A or B with inhibitors. Patients will be randomized to receive either a single dose of eptacog alfa biosimilar 90 μg/kg or 270 μg/kg and one single dose of NovoSeven 90 μg/kg or 270 μg/kg, or vice versa, with doses separated by a washout period. All patients will be followed 12 months and will receive biosimilar eptacog alfa, on demand, for every bleeding episode that should occur - or - for prophylaxis, with the aim of monitoring of inhibiting antibody formation, lack of efficacy and collection of safety data.

Extended Half Life Factor (EHF) Products For Heavy Menstrual Bleeding in Hemophilia Carriers

The purpose of this feasibility study is to find out if two clotting factor products, Eloctate [hemophilia A] and Alprolix [hemophilia B], can reduce the amount of menstrual bleeding in female hemophilia A and B carriers (14 years of age or older) who have severe or heavy bleeding. These products are FDA-approved for use in males with hemophilia A and B to prevent and treat bleeding. They are not approved specifically to reduce menstrual bleeding, but may be useful for this purpose. Both products have an "extended half life" which means they circulate in the body longer than other FVIII or FIX products. The study team will gather additional information about the safety of these drugs and how well they work. The results of this feasibility study will provide information for an upcoming larger study.
