Docetaxel, Trabectedin, and G-CSF or Pegfilgrastim in Treating Patients With Recurrent or Persistent...
Fallopian Tube CancerOvarian Cancer1 moreRATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as docetaxel and trabectedin, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells or by stopping them from dividing. Colony-stimulating factors, such as G-CSF and pegfilgrastim, may help the immune system recover from the side effects of chemotherapy. Giving combination chemotherapy together with G-CSF or pegfilgrastim may kill more tumor cells. PURPOSE: This phase II trial is studying the side effects and how well giving docetaxel and trabectedin together with G-CSF or pegfilgrastim works in treating patients with recurrent or persistent ovarian epithelial cancer, fallopian tube cancer, or primary peritoneal cavity cancer.
Phase II Study of Clinical Activity of Pegaspargase in Women With Relapsed or Refractory Epithelial...
Ovarian NeoplasmsFallopian Tube Neoplasms1 moreBackground: - The best treatment for ovarian and related female reproductive tract cancers is not yet known for patients whose disease has not responded to or has recurred after standard treatment. The cancer treatment drug pegaspargase (ONCASPAR (Trademark)), which works differently from standard chemotherapy, has been approved to treat leukemia and has been given to a small number of patient with ovarian and other types of cancer. Because pegaspargase may reduce the development of cancer cells and blood vessel cells that contribute to cancer growth and ability to spread, treatment with pegaspargase could shrink ovarian cancer tumors and help ovarian cancer patients live longer and with fewer symptoms from their disease. Objectives: - To evaluate the safety and effectiveness of pegaspargase in patients with recurrent or refractory ovarian cancer, fallopian tube cancer, and/or primary peritoneal cancer. Eligibility: - Women at least 18 years of age who have been diagnosed with epithelial ovarian cancer, fallopian tube cancer, or primary peritoneal cancer that has not responded to at least one operation, chemotherapy, and/or radiotherapy. Design: Before the start of the study, participants will be screened with a medical history, blood tests, imaging scans of the affected areas, tumor biopsies, and other tests as directed by the study doctors. Participants will receive an infusion of pegaspargase on Day 1 and Day 15 of each 28-day cycle. Participants will have dynamic contrast-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging (DCE-MRI) at the start of the study, before beginning pegaspargase, and again 6 weeks into the treatment. This test will determine if pegaspargase is affecting blood flow to the cancer site. Participants will have a computed tomography scan or other imaging every other cycle (approximately every 8 weeks) to determine whether the therapy is affecting the cancer site. The treatment will be repeated as long as the participant tolerates the medication and his or her cancer is either steady or improving.
RO4929097 in Treating Patients With Recurrent and/or Metastatic Epithelial Ovarian Cancer, Fallopian...
Recurrent Fallopian Tube CarcinomaRecurrent Ovarian Carcinoma4 moreThis phase II trial is studying the side effects and how well RO4929097 works in treating patients with recurrent and/or metastatic epithelial ovarian cancer, fallopian tube cancer, or primary peritoneal cancer. RO4929097 may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth.
Carboplatin/Pralatrexate in Recurrent Platinum-Sensitive Ovarian, Fallopian or Primary Peritoneal...
Ovarian CancerFallopian Tube Cancer1 morePralatrexate is a type of antifolate drug which means is restrains the production of folic acid in the body. Folic acids are used by tumors to increase tumor cell growth and division. It is believed that reducing folic acid will hinder the rapid division of tumor cells, their growth and production. Carboplatin is an FDA approved chemotherapy drug for ovarian, fallopian tube and primary peritoneal cancer. Some antifolate drugs are used with other chemotherapy drugs to enhance cancer-fighting characteristics. It is believed that the study drug pralatrexate may improve the anti-tumor effect of carboplatin. In this research study we are looking for the highest dose of pralatrexate that can be given safely in combination with carboplatin.
Denileukin Diftitox Used in Treating Patients With Advanced Refractory Ovarian Cancer, Primary Peritoneal...
Fallopian Tube CancerOvarian Clear Cell Cystadenocarcinoma9 moreRATIONALE: Biological therapies, such as denileukin difitox, may stimulate the immune system in different ways and may prevent tumor cells from growing. PURPOSE: This phase I trial is studying the side effects and best dose of denileukin diftitox in treating patients with advanced refractory ovarian cancer, primary peritoneal carcinoma, or epithelial fallopian tube cancer.
Intraperitoneal Bortezomib and Carboplatin in Treating Patients With Persistent or Recurrent Ovarian...
Fallopian Tube Clear Cell AdenocarcinomaFallopian Tube Endometrioid Adenocarcinoma18 moreThis phase I trial studies the side effects and best dose of intraperitoneal bortezomib when given together with intraperitoneal carboplatin in treating patients with ovarian epithelial cancer, fallopian tube cancer, or primary peritoneal cancer that is persistent or has come back. Bortezomib may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as carboplatin, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading. Bortezomib may help carboplatin work better by making tumor cells more sensitive to the drug. Infusing bortezomib and carboplatin directly into the abdomen (intraperitoneal) may kill more tumor cells.
Phase 1 Study of a Cancer Vaccine to Treat Patients With Advanced Stage Ovarian, Fallopian or Peritoneal...
Ovarian CancerFallopian Tube Cancer1 moreImmunotherapy is a novel way to treat cancer and does so by targeting the immune system to destroy tumor cells. Many different therapeutic vaccines have been evaluated in phase 1, 2, and even phase 3 trials. Much has been learned about the principles of applying immune-based therapies and specifically the types of patients that may be most likely to mount an effective immune response. When used alone, cancer vaccines may have their greatest impact earlier in the disease course or in situations with minimal residual disease. ImmunoVaccine Technologies Inc. (Immunovaccine) is an immuno-oncology company developing a novel adjuvanting technology platform termed DepoVax. DepoVax was created to enhance the speed, strength and duration of an immune response. The peptide antigens included in DPX-Survivac are designed to target Survivin, a protein which is over-expressed in many cancer types, including epithelial ovarian cancers. This study was designed be a phase 1-2 trial to determine the safety and immunogenicity profiles of DPX-Survivac, a therapeutic vaccine co-administered with a regimen of low dose oral cyclophosphamide. The dosing-finding phase 1 study of 15 subjects would move directly into a randomized phase 2 study. However, with the evolving field of immunotherapy Immunovaccine has begun to focus on combination therapies, combining DPX-Survivac treatment with checkpoint inhibitors and other immune modulators, such as in NCT02785250.
