Cardiovascular Registry of Atrial Fibrillation

Atrial FibrillationAtrial Flutter

Follow a representative sample of Latin American patients diagnosed with atrial fibrillation to set data on demographic characteristics, documenting antithrombotic therapy, describe the INR control level of VKA users, discontinuation rates and clinical outcomes, such as stroke, hemorrhage and death

Swiss Atrial Fibrillation Pulmonary Vein Isolation Registry

Catheter-based Ablation of Atrial Fibrillation

Registry of patients with atrial fibrillation undergoing catheter-based ablation of atrial fibrillation (pulmonary vein isolation) to determine long-term success rates of catheter-based ablation of atrial fibrillation (pulmonary vein isolation) and to evaluate factors associated with long-term success of catheter-based ablation of atrial fibrillation (pulmonary vein isolation).

The Impact of Frailty on Thrombosis of Elderly Patients With NVAF (FTE-NVAF)

Non-valvular Atrial FibrillationElderly2 more

This study aims to investigate the use of anticoagulants in elderly patients with non-valvular atrial fibrillation (NVAF) and the incidence of frailty in elderly patients with NVAF. After two years follow-up, we observe the incidence of thrombotic events and the influence of frailty on thrombotic events in elderly patients with NVAF.

The Basel CardioInsightTM - 3D Mapping Study

New-onset Atrial Fibrillation (NOAF)

This study is to describe the exact location of NOAF-maintaining foci and rotors after cardiac surgery identified by mapping using the non-invasive phase mapping with CardioInsightTM - 3D Mapping technology (CardioInsightTM, Medtronic Switzerland, Tolochenaz, Switzerland) and a low-dose computed tomography scan of the chest.

Multidisciplinary Team Approach to Prescribe Antithrombotic Therapy in Older People With Atrial...

Atrial Fibrillation

Antithrombotic drugs, which include antiplatelet and anticoagulant therapies, are used to prevent and treat many cardiovascular disorders. With the increase in prevalence of cardiovascular diseases and medical progress, these treatments are increasingly being prescribed, particularly in older patients. One of the main indications of antithrombotic drugs is atrial fibrillation (AF), a disease highly prevalent in older people, a population at high risk of adverse drug events. Notably, antithrombotic drugs are the first involved in serious adverse drug events, among which 40-70% may be preventable. In this context, six units of the hospital group "Assistance Publique - Hôpitaux de Paris" have created a multidisciplinary team which assesses antithrombotic prescriptions in older patients with AF. This team, gathering geriatricians, cardiologists, neurologists and haematologist specialized in haemostasis, evaluates the patient medical profile and suggests the most appropriate antithrombotic treatment based on their expertise and the available recommendations. Here we want to look at patients outcomes in light of the intervention of this multidisciplinary team.

The Multicenter Cardiology Monitoring Platform Registry

Heart FailureCardiomyopathies4 more

The multicenter Cardiology Monitoring Platform registry (mCMP-registry) is a prospective observational registry including multi-omics (diagnostic) measurements performed as part of routine clinical care, bio-banking (optional), and yearly questionnaires (optional). It's objective is to optimize (early) diagnosis and risk-stratification of (early) cardiovascular diseases, specifically cardiomyopathy phenotypes, arrhythmias, and coronary artery disease, and to create a better understanding of underlying pathophysiological processes.

the Dutch-GERAF Study

Atrial FibrillationFrailty1 more

Geriatric patients are at high risk of cardiovascular complications, and for the development of atrial fibrillation. Often atrial fibrillation exists in these patients without specific symptoms, and could therefore remain unknown. Furthermore, concerns exist about the bleeding profile of anticoagulation in the very elderly or frail patients. This study applies opportunistic screening for atrial fibrillation as advised in the latest ESC Guideline on the diagnosis and management of atrial fibrillation. Furthermore, multiple bleeding risk scores will be applies, to better assess the bleeding risk in very elderly or frail patients.

Observational Study to Examine the Procedural and Outcomes of AF Ablation Assisted by STAR Apollo™...

Persistent Atrial Fibrillation

STAR Apollo Mapping System is an FDA cleared mapping technology that can analyze the signals collected during the ablation procedure on the 3D mapping system and give the physician further insight into the AF activation patterns which may assist them in identifying areas responsible for maintaining Atrial Fibrillation (AF). The STAR Apollo Mapping System system allows clinicians, after treating the Pulmonary Veins (PV), to collect data from the atria during clinical AF procedures using standard FDA cleared catheters and devices. This study aims to examine the impact of the STAR Apollo Mapping System on procedural and acute outcomes in a multicenter observational study.

Triggers and Risk Factors for Recurrence of Atrial Arrhythmias With the Use of Long-term Monitoring...

Atrial FibrillationAtrial Flutter11 more

A prospective cohort study to evaluate the association between various triggers encountered in daily life and induction of atrial arrhythmias (atrial fibrillation, atrial flutter, atrial tachycardia and premature atrial contractions) with the use of long-term monitoring devices. The collected data of personalized triggers and risk factors will be used to define the individual phenotype of atrial arrhythmia.

Association Between ALDH2 Gene Polymorphism and Atrial Fibrillation

Atrial Fibrillation

This study is a case-control study. In this study, 2ml of vein blood samples were collected from patients with atrial fibrillation undergoing radiofrequency ablation and those in the control group who underwent electrophysiological examination alone and confirmed no arrhythmia. The purpose of this study is to identify the relationship between the aldehyde dehydrogenase 2 (ALDH2) gene polymorphism and susceptibility to atrial fibrillation, and to explore the relationship between the genotype of ALDH2 SNP and the prognosis of patients with atrial fibrillation undergoing radiofrequency ablation.
