Effect of the Different Methods of Kinesiology Taping on the Muscle Contraction Performance of Fatigued...

Muscle Fatigue

Recently, kinesiology tape is a common intervention in clinic and sport. According to the theory mentioned by the founder (Dr. Kenzo Kase), the elasticity of kinesiology tape has different effects from different taping skill. For muscle and fascia, taping could promote or inhibit contraction of muscle. For skeletal system, the intervention could correct posture and improve movement pattern through limiting joint mobility. For swelling, it may increase circulation of lymph during acute stage. However, whether these theories are feasible are still controversial in most studies. The differences between results may be related to the high heterogeneity of taping method and outcome measures. On the other hand, there are lack of studies with high quality. The differences of taping method and skill should be considered for investigating the effect of kinesiology tape. And the performance of muscle contraction should be assessed by accurate instruments.

Acupressure in Reducing Post-TBI Fatigue

Fatigue

Fatigue is a common symptom experienced by patients with traumatic brain injury (TBI). Prior works have demonstrated that it may profoundly impact the ability to return to productive activity and cognitive functions. However, few interventions have been applied in this population. The purpose of the current will be to test the effect of acupressure on fatigue reduction after traumatic brain injury.

Chronic Fatigue SyndromeMyalgic Encephalomyelitis

Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, also known as Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (CFS / MS) is a medical entity characterized mainly by debilitating and prolonged fatigue lasting more than 6 months, post-exertion fatigue (physical and / or mental), non-sleep restorative, cognitive impairment and orthostatic intolerance with prolonged recovery that is not relieved by rest. Currently, the etiopathogenic mechanisms of the disease are not known, although mitochondrial dysfunction with bioenergetic immuno-metabolism alterations, oxidative stress, and immuno-inflammatory response stands out. At present, there is no diagnostic test, nor effective treatment in the disease. ImmunoVita, is a food supplement composed of the latest yeast beta-glucans, in addition to vitamin D3, vitamin B6 and zinc, which could contribute to the normal functioning of the immune system and the inflammatory response.

Vitamin B Complex Improved Exercise Performance and Anti-fatigue

Exercise PerformanceFatigue

The aim of the present study was to evaluate potential beneficial effects of TTFD® EX PLUS (Prince Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., Yunlin County, Taiwan) on fatigue and ergogenic functions following physiological challenge. The test used a double-blind crossover design and supplementation for 28 days. 32 male and female 20-30 year-old subjects were divided into two groups in a balanced order according to each individual's initial maximal oxygen uptake and were assigned to receive a placebo with equal gender (non TTFD® EX PLUS with same color/day, n=16, 8 male and 8 female) or TTFD® EX PLUS (600mg/tablet/day, n=16, 8 male and 8 female) every morning. After the intervention, there were 28 days of wash-out, during which time the subjects did not receive further interventions.

The Effect of Exercise on Fatigue in White-collar Workers

ExerciseFatigue

A survey will be conducted on the Internet for desk workers. The questionnaire; International Physical Activity Questionnaire will be filled out to evaluate the exercise level of the participants, the visual analog scale to question the general pain levels, and the fatigue severity questionnaire to investigate the fatigue levels. The patients will also be divided into the presence of osteoarthritis, the presence of fibromyalgia, and healthy group, and an evaluation will be made between the groups.

Fatigue in Short-Haul Operations

Fatigue

The purpose of the present study is to assess fatigue levels of short-haul pilots during normal operations. The investigators will collect objective and subjective sleep, sleepiness, workload, and performance data from on-duty pilots during short-haul flight operations. Data will be collected during days off prior to the trip start, during flights, and during days off following the flight operations.

Effects of Diaphragmatic Breathing With and Without Aerobic Exercise on Stress, Fatigue and Sleep...

StressFatigue1 more

The puerperium is a critical phase for women , not only does it have a significant impact on the mental and physical health of fresh mothers, but it can also be one of the most stressful moments in a woman's life .Serious psycho- social problems, including fatigue, depression, and stress, have been reported that occurred during the postpartum period. Diaphragm breathing method (DBE).DBE, also known as Diaphragmatic Breathing or Deep Breathing, is an effective holistic mind body workout for coping with stress and physical and mental conditions.Postpartum fatigue is considered the foremost common issue that postnatal ladies stand up to when they move to motherhood.postpartum fatigue is described as sentiments of fatigue, suffocation and diminishes in physical and mental capacity. This study will be a randomized clinical trial. Sample will be collected through convenient sampling technique.Randomization will be done through lottery method and patients will be divided into two groups. Group A will receive both aerobic exercises and diaphragmatic breathing exercise. B will receive only diaphragmatic breathing exercise. Data will be collected before and after treatment .data will be analyzed through SPPS 25.

Lessening the Impact of Fatigue in Inflammatory Rheumatic Diseases

Rheumatoid ArthritisLupus Erythematosus4 more

Fatigue is common and disabling for most patients with inflammatory rheumatic disease. Therapies designed to improve physical activity and 'talking' treatments, which positively help patients change the way they think and behave, are both helpful in reducing the burden of the fatigue. However, few patients have access to these treatments in most health services. This situation results from the absence of standardised programmes and limited availability of relevant therapists. The investigators aim to enhance access to fatigue alleviating physical activity and talking therapies by testing innovative, standardised and cost-effective approaches to treatment delivery. The investigators will also use this opportunity to understand how to select the best treatment for a patient based on their individual profile and to better understand how these treatments actually work. This in turn may lead to more refined and effective therapies in the future.
