The Effectiveness of Ozone (O2-O3) Injections in the Treatment of Myofascial Pain Syndrome

Myofascial Pain SyndromeMyofascial Trigger Point Pain

Ozone (O2-O3) has been used as a supportive therapy in various musculoskeletal diseases such as lumbosacral disc herniation, knee osteoarthritis, meniscus injury, shoulder pathologies. The aim of this study is to investigate the effectiveness of ozone (O2-O3) injection applied to the trigger point in the treatment of myofascial pain syndrome.

Comparison of Vibration and Dry Needle in Trigger Point Therapy

Myofascial Pain SyndromeTrigger Point Pain1 more

The aim of this study is to compare the effects of localized vibration and dry needling applied to the trigger point in the individuals with acute myofascial pain syndrome.Pressure pain threshold (PPT) was used for the primary outcome measure of the study, and pain intensity, pain tolerance and short form (SF-36) were used for secondary outcome measures.

High-definition Transcranial Electrical Stimulation for Fibromyalgia

Fibromyalgia

Transcranial electrical stimulation (tCES) is a non-invasive and safe treatment, which uses a low direct current or alternating current to change the excitability of the cerebral cortex. The tCES has been applied in clinical trials related to rehabilitation research in recent years, and the safety and effectiveness have also been established. However, the existing tCES products effect on the whole brain networks and lack special waveforms. The investigators developed a wearable high-definition tCES (HD-tCES) with special waveforms. This novel stimulation system will result in more precise and focal stimulation of selected brain regions with special waveforms to display better neuromodulation performance. In this study, the investigators will preliminarily examine the effects and safety of the HD-tCES in patients with fibromyalgia. The investigators expect that the HD-tCES will relief pain, improve sleep quality, emotion, and general health of the patients.

Foot Plantar Pressure Changes After Plantar Dry Needling

Myofascial Pain SyndromeFoot Diseases

The aim of this clinical trial is to check the effects of dry needling in the Flexor digitorum Brevis. Twenty healthy subjects wil be recruited for a quasi-experimental study. Participants will be from 18 to 40 years old, not obese. Participants will be measured before and after bilateral dry neddling in Flexor digitorum Brevis. The investigators will measure static footprint variables. The footprint variables will be divided in bilateral rear foot, bilateral midfoot, bilateral fore foot.

Efficacy of Electroacupuncture in Carpal Tunnel Syndrome

Carpal TunnelCarpal Tunnel Syndrome3 more

The aim of this clinical study is to assess the effectiveness of electroacupuncture in reducing the severity of symptoms, in improving limb function, in improving the aesthetic and motor conduction of the median nerve and in reducing its cross-sectional area at the inlet of the carpal tunnel in patients with carpal tunnel syndrome. All upper extremities diagnosed with carpal tunnel syndrome will be treated with electroacupuncture for 8 sessions. Clinical, electrophysiological and ultrasonography outcome measures will be evaluated before and after the intervention, to assess the result.

The Effect of Group Exercise and Thetahealing on Pain and Quality of Life in Patients With Fibromyalgia...

Fibromyalgia

Summary Purpose: Determining the Effect of Therapeutic Exercise and Thetahealing on Pain and Quality of Life in Patients with Fibromyalgia Methods: Between February and April 2021, the study started with 58 people who wanted to participate in the study from online platforms and the study was completed with 34 people. Findings: According to the power analysis, at least 34 people will participate in the study. Participants will be divided into 2 groups as experimental and control, thetahealing and exercise will be applied to the experimental group and only exercise sessions will be applied to the control group. The study will be 2 sessions of online group exercises per week for 6 weeks and 1 session of tehetahealing will be applied to the experimental group for 6 weeks. The evaluation will be carried out in the first week before the sessions start and in the last week after the sessions are completed in the form of an online survey.Summary Purpose: Determining the Effect of Therapeutic Exercise and Thetahealing on Pain and Quality of Life in Patients with Fibromyalgia Methods: Between February and April 2021, the study started with 58 people who wanted to participate in the study from online platforms and the study was completed with 34 people. Contribution of Erector Spina Plane Block to Analgesia for Myofascial Pain Syndrome

Trigger PointMyofascial Pain

Myofascial pain syndrome is a common chronic disease characterized by pain and tenderness in one or more muscle groups. It is characterized by myofascial trigger points that are felt as a band or a nodule harder than normal consistency located in the muscle. Myofascial trigger points are developes as a result of muscle injury ; this can be acute trauma caused by sport injury, accident, or chronic muscle overuse by repetitive occupational activities, emotional stress or poor posture. Trigger point injection is the application of low dose local anesthetic drug into the trigger point. Its main purpose is to weaken the trigger point caused by muscle spasm. However, it may reduce pain partially or have a short duration of action, so it may need to be repeated several times at regular intervals.Trigger point injection can reach trigger points in superficial muscles With the erector spina plane block technique, more effective and long-term pain treatment can be achieved by reaching deeper trigger points. With this hypothesis, we aimed to investigate the contribution of the erector spina plane block to trigger point injection in the treatment of myofascial pain.
