Work-Related Fibromyalgia
FibromyalgiaSecondaryThe research is about fibromyalgia prevalency in working population and searching work-related fibromyalgia.
Cross-sectional Study of Fibromyalgia
FibromyalgiaThis study is designed to collect data on precipitating factors, diagnosis, morbidity, therapy, quality of life, and symptom severity, etc. informations in patients with fibromyalgia.
Compare the Medical Conditions of Gulf War Veterans to Non-Deployed Veterans
Chronic Fatigue SyndromeFibromyalgia3 morePrimary Hypothesis: Gulf War veterans will have an equal prevalence or mean level of the following medical and psychological conditions frequently reported in the literature compared to a control group of nondeployed veterans: (1) chronic fatigue syndrome, (2) fibromyalgia, (3) post-traumatic stress disorder, (4) neurologic abnormalities, including peripheral neuropathy and cognitive dysfunction, and (5) general health status.
Evaluation of Fibromyalgia With Disease Activity and Clinical Findings in Women With Behçet's Disease...
Behcet's DiseaseFibromyalgiaIn the literature, the relationship between fibromyalgia and disease activity has been assessed in a few studies without discrimination between women and men.In this study, it was aimed to evaluate the relationship between fibromyalgia and disease activity in women with Behçet's disease.
Subjective Ageing in Fibromyalgia
FibromyalgiaSubjective age or felt age is the term used for how the person feels; one can feel same, younger or older than their actual age. Feeling younger or feeling older may be associated with depression, anxiety, fatigue, sleep, quality of life or cognitive function.
Logistic Regression and Elastic Net Regularization for the Diagnosis of Fibromyalgia
FibromyalgiaThis study will utilize ultrasound image texture variables to construct an elastic net regularized, logistic regression model to differentiate between healthy and Fibromyalgia patients. The collected ultrasound data will be from participants who are healthy, and from participants who have Fibromyalgia. The predicted performance accuracy of the diagnostic model will be validated and this will confirm or deny the hypothesis that differentiation between the two cohorts is possible.
Prevalence of Temporomandibular Disorders in Patients With Fibromyalgia Syndrome
Temporomandibular DisorderFibromyalgiaOne Hundred Fifty woman patients diagnosed with fibromyalgia according to the American College of Rheumatology 2010 diagnostic criteria and 150 healthy woman volunteers will be included.Demographic data (age, gender, height, weight, marital status, education level) and duration of fibromyalgia diagnosis will be recorded. Patients will be evaluated according to the Diagnostic Criteria for Temporomandibular Disorders: Assessment Instruments (DCTMD: AI ). Patients will be evaluated by Diagnostic Criteria for Temporomandibular Disorders: Temporomandibular Disorders (TMD) Pain Screener, Symptom questionnaire, Clinical Examination Form from Assessment Instruments Axis I. Pain Drawing, Graded Chronic Pain (version 2), Jaw Functional Limitation Scale-8 (JFLS-8), Patient Health Questionnaire (PHQ-4), Oral Behaviors Checklist will be applied within the scope of Axis II.
Kinesiophobia, Quality of Life, and Cognitive Functions in Fibromyalgia Syndrome
FibromyalgiaKinesiophobia1 moreAlthough one of the most evidence-based treatment protocols is based on exercise strategies in patients with Fibromyalgia Syndrome, fear and avoidance of physical activity; named 'Kinesiophobia' may hinder the patients from the exercises. Cognitive dysfunctions are seen frequently in Fibromyalgia Syndrome. The aim of this study, to assess the relationship between kinesiophobia and cognitive functions, disease severity, quality of life, physical activity level, pain intensity, and anxiety/depression level in Fibromyalgia patients. Additionally, the investigators aimed to compare the kinesiophobia level and cognitive functions between patients with Fibromyalgia Syndrome and control subjects.
Understanding Health Services Delivery for Fibromyalgia
FibromyalgiaFibromyalgia3 moreThis research study aims to: i) Explore and understand how health and social care for people with fibromyalgia living in the UK is organised and delivered. ii) Identify models of practice to inform co-design of new care pathways for people with fibromyalgia living in the UK. To do this, up to ten UK-based case studies will be conducted in total: at least one each in England, Scotland and Wales. Interviews will be conducted with approximately 10 participants per case study, for a total of 100 participant interviews. Qualitative observations (in-person or on-line) will be conducted with a similar number of people (total 100 participants). Online focus groups will also be carried out with approximately 6 to 8 participants per group (up to ten groups for a total 60-80 participants). Participants will include healthcare professionals (for example, doctors, nurses, allied health professionals), social care practitioners (for example, social prescribers), service delivery managers, commissioners and other individuals involved in the organisation and delivery of health and social care services for people with fibromyalgia living in the UK.
Retrospective Study of Psychoattitudinal Patterns in Patients With Fibromyalgia Receiving Antalgic...
AnalgesiaFibromyalgia3 moreFibromyalgia (FM) is a widespread and invalidating disease that requires a multidisciplinary approach. Particularly, the psychiatric component seems to influence the algological management of these patients. Since January 2018, the HADS, SF-36, IMSA, TCI psycho-attitudinal questionnaires have been introduced in the Pain Therapy unit of Policlinico Sant'Orsola-Malpighi in an attempt to improve the care of patients diagnosed with FM. The aim of the study is to identify, through retrospective evaluation of TCI tests and its subdomains, compiled by patients with FM diagnosis, Pain Avoidance and Pain Persistance personality patterns, indicated in the literature. Anxiety and Depression incidence is also observed through retrospective evaluation of HADS tests. Patients in the Antalgic Therapy Outpatient Clinic diagnosed with FM, aged ≥18 years, who have completed selfadministered psychoattitudinal tests from January 2018 to January 2019 were considered. The data were collected in aggregate and extrapolated anonymously.
