Cohort Study on A Following-up System of Native Arteriovenous Fistulae
Arteriovenous FistulaeA cohort including more than 100 maintenance hemodialysis patients will be followed up according to a certain Following-up System of Native Arteriovenous Fistulae (AVF) prospectively. The assessment results of the Following-up System of AVF help the physicians make decisions of AVF surgery and puncture methods. The results of this study would identify the effect of the system on survival of AVF. Other 100 hemodialysis patients from other centers will be treated by routine protocol and compared to the experiment goup.

Improve Endothelial Function and Decrease Vascular StenosisPatients with stage IV and V chronic kidney disease and end stage renal disease requiring hemodialysis at University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) Dialysis Clinics will be recruited from the UAB Vascular Access Clinic, which has been the site for recruitment of patients requiring new vascular access for the last 10 years.
A Study of Vonapanitase (PRT-201) Administered Immediately After Radiocephalic Arteriovenous Fistula(AVF)...
Chronic Kidney DiseaseThis research study is designed to assess the safety and effectiveness of an experimental drug called vonapanitase (PRT-201) in patients both receiving or expecting to receive hemodialysis who have chronic kidney disease and who are undergoing surgery to create a new access point to their bloodstream for hemodialysis. Vonapanitase is a protein that has been shown in previous research studies to help keep vessels patent when applied to the outside surface of the blood vessels (arteries and veins) in patients who undergo surgery to create an arteriovenous fistula (AVF). The purpose of this study is to determine whether vonapanitase when applied to a limited segment of your blood vessel (about 2 inches) immediately after surgery is safe and improves the patency of your AVF.

Role of Udumbara Sutra in the Management of Fistula in Ano a Rare Case Study
Fistula in AnoThe anal fistula is a notorious disease due to its recurrence rate. Bhagandara is varyingly defined as a tear, ulcer or boil at Bhaga (Perianal region) within 2 finger circumference of it, causing painful abscess when opened is called Bhagandara. The Sanskrit word 'Bhagandara' has got two components-Bhaga and Darana. Bhaga means perianal region and Darana means to tear. The ancient Surgeon Sushruta has advocated various types of operations in Sushruta Samhita. He has advocated Kshara Sutra treatment due to probability of recurrence after surgery. Sushruta describes many kind of kshara like Palasa, Kadali. The most remarkable is Udumbara( Ficus Glomerata) among them. The present treatment modality Udumbara Kshara Sutra has been found effective due to its action of proper drainage of pus from the fistula that leads to a proper healing and as adjuvant therapy by avoid recurrence in Fistula in ano. Hypothesis; Present treatment modality Udumber Sutra will found to be useful in tne management of Fistula in ano.

Arteriovenous FistulaThis prospective, global, multicenter, randomized, controlled study is designed to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of the Lutonix 035 AV Drug Coated Balloon PTA Catheter compared to a standard PTA Catheter in treating subjects presenting with clinical and hemodynamic abnormalities in native arteriovenous (AV) fistulae located in the upper extremity.
Management of Vaginal Fistula by Kshar Sutra, a Minimally Invasive Treatment
Vaginal FistulaBackground:Fistula-in-ano is described as Bhagandara in the classics of Ayurveda, is an ancient surgical problem. It was commonly described even in the Vedic period. The description of Bhagandara, with the full text of its managements, can be gathered from the Sushruta Samhita, which is supposed to have been written in the second century B.C. Fistula-in-ano is a tubular ulcer formed around the peri-anal region. It may also be found anywhere in the perineal region. Its ramifications can extend to the lower back, subscrotal region, vagina etc. Hypothesis:In Sushruta Samhita(2nd BC) Acharya Sushruta has advocated Kshar Sutra treatment due to probability of recurrence after surgery. The present treatment modality Kshar Sutra has been found effective and as adjuvant therapy by avoiding recurrence.

The Use of Glyceryl Trinitrate Patches in Arteriovenous Fistulas
Renal FailureThe aim of the study is to determine whether the application of a glyceryl trinitrate patch (GTN patch) helps arteriovenous fistulas, created for renal dialysis access, mature so that they can be used.
