Study of Allogenic Adipose-derived Stem Cells in Crohn's Fistula

Crohn

Adipose-derived stem cells have properties of differentiation to various types of cells, immunomodulatory effects. adipose-derived stem cells (ASCs) show also low immunogenicity. Anterogen has developed ANTG-ASC(Autologous ASC) which has shown good efficacy and safety in Phase I and II study on the patients with Crohn's fistula. However, Crohn's patients are sometimes not fat enough to extract fat tissue for culturing ASCs. Therefore the investigators have planned to study allogenic ASCs for safety and efficacy in patients with Crohn's fistula.

Non-inferiority of Short-term Catheterization Following Fistula Repair Surgery

Vaginal Fistula

This facility-based, multi-center randomized controlled trial (RCT) will test the non-inferiority of short-term (7 day) urethral catheterization compared to longer-term (14 day) urethral catheterization in terms of predicting fistula repair breakdown three months following urinary fistula repair surgery. The study will be conducted among 507 women with simple fistula presenting at 8 study sites in Sub-Saharan Africa for fistula repair surgery.

Visilizumab for Treatment of Perianal Fistulas in Crohn's Disease

Crohn's Disease

The purpose of the study is to evaluate an intravenous (by injection) investigational medication to treat Crohn's disease in patients with at least one perianal fistula. The research is being conducted at up to 5 clinical research sites in the US and Europe and is open to both men and women ages 18 to 70 years old. Participants in the study will have a number of visits to a research site over a 17 month period. All study-related care and medication is provided to qualified participants at no cost: this includes all visits, examinations and laboratory work. Visilizumab is a humanized antibody (antibodies are proteins that are normally made by the immune system to help defend the body from infections and other foreign substances) that is directed against T cells. Visilizumab selectively attacks problematic T cells and, in doing so, it may prevent them from causing inflammation. Visilizumab has also been observed to have a suppressive effect on the body's immune system (system in the body that reacts to foreign or occasionally one's own proteins).

eXtended Antibiotic Prophylaxis for Intermediate- and High-risk Glands After Pancreatoduodenectomy...

Pancreatic Fistula

The purpose of this clinical trial is to investigate if prolonged antibiotics after pancreatoduodenectomy can prevent the development of a pancreatic fistula and related complications. Participants who are at high risk of pancreatic fistula will be administered an extended course of antibiotics. While inpatient, the patient will receive these antibiotics through the vein, and after discharge, the antibiotics will be taken by mouth.

Endovascular Management of Pediatric Intracranial Arteriovenous Shunts

Arteriovenous MalformationsArteriovenous Fistula

Review the outcomes of the Endovascular management of pediatric intracranial arteriovenous shunts. Give an effective treatment for pediatric intracranial arteriovenous shunts and can detect the best method could be used and assess safety and efficacy of different endovascular techniques in treatment of different AV shunts. Improve the outcome of these patients and decease rate of recurrence and complications.

Trans-drain Occlusion for Postoperative Pancreatic Fistula- A Double Blind Randomized Clinical Trial...

Pancreatic Fistula

This is a multicenter, investigator initiated, prospective, superiority, parallel-group, randomized, double-blinded trial that aims to compare the efficacy and safety of trans-drain occlusion followed by gradual withdrawal of drain versus gradual withdrawal of drain alone for postoperative pancreatic fistula (POPF) that persists for longer than 21 days.

Fistulotomy With or Without Marsupialization for Treatment of Simple Anal Fistula

Anal Fistula

Patients with simple anal fistula will undergo fistulotomy operation and will be divided into two groups: the first will undergo marsupialization of the laid open fistula track and second group will not undergo marsupialization. The effect of marsupialization on healing of anal fistula will be compared postoperatively.
