Evaluation of Heparin Bonded Vascular Graft Versus Standard Graft in Prosthetic Arteriovenous Access...
Hemodialysis Fistula ThrombosisThe majority of bridge graft fistula with polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) for hemodialysis access will develop stenosis at the venous anastomosis and eventually will fail. Aspirin have been used for many years as a prophylactic drug therapy to prevent thrombosis but good clinical evidence for its benefit is lacking. Many drugs have been used to reduce intimal hyperplasia in animal models. Until recently there has been little success in clinical trials of anti-inflammatory, antiproliferative, antiplatelet, antithrombotic or calcium channel blocking drugs. Recently a major breakthrough was done by GORE when introducing the new heparin bonded PTFE graft by covalent attachment. This trial is planed to assess and compare between the GORE-TEX® PROPATEN vascular graft versus unmodified ePTFE grafts the patency and complication.

Assessment of Relation Between Recurrence of Enterocutaneous Fistula and Preoperative C-reactive...
Enterocutaneous FistulaA prospective study of 40 patients admitted with the diagnosis of enterocutaneous fistula and prepared for definite surgical repair in the form of resection anastomosis of ECF. The investigators used preoperative serum C-reactive protein as predicting factor to recurrence and independent variable for timing of surgery.

Arterio-Venous FistulaKidney Failure5 moreThis is a prospective single arm study enrolling patients who are scheduled for creation of a new Brachiocephalic or Radiocephalic AV fistula. Up to 80 patients will be enrolled, 50 with upper arm AV fistula and 30 with forearm AV fistula. All patients will be implanted with the VasQ device, a subcutaneous arteriovenous conduit support for vascular access. The follow up period in this study will be for a duration of 12 months, with follow up visits scheduled at 1, 3, 6, 9, and 12 months.

Application and Optimization of the International Study Group of Pancreatic Surgery (ISGPS) Definition...
Laparoscopic Pancreatic SurgeryPancreatic Fistula2 moreIn recent years, with the continuous development of minimally invasive techniques, laparoscopic pancreatic surgery has also been widely used. Although the postoperative mortality rate of laparoscopic pancreatic surgery has been decreasing as the technology continues to improve and mature, the complication rate reported varies widely among centers. The definition and grading criteria of ISGPS on postoperative complications of pancreatic surgery are mostly proposed based on open pancreatic surgery, and most of the data of the later related studies are also for open pancreatic surgery, while the applicability of the definition and grading criteria in laparoscopic pancreatic surgery is still lacking in systematic The study The main purpose of this study is to investigate the applicability of the ISGPS definition and grading criteria for pancreatic fistula, postoperative bleeding and delayed gastric emptying in laparoscopic pancreatic surgery.
