Quality of Life and Self-care in Patients With Diabetic Foot Ulcers Treated With Low-level Laser...
Diabetic Foot UlcerDiabetic FootDiabetic foot ulcers (DFU) are aggressive complications of diabetes mellitus (DM) and affect 25% of these patients. DFU are associated with a high risk of amputations and early mortality and significantly impact quality of life (QoL). The low-level laser therapy (LLLT) is an important approach for the treatment of DFU, however there is a lack of data on its influence on the QoL of patients with DFU. On the other hand, adherence to self-care is a factor closely related to QoL. Therefore, this study is justified by the need to understand the impact of LLLT on QoL and its relationship with self-care. Aim: To evaluate the quality of life of patients with diabetic foot ulcers treated with different doses of LLLT (GaAs) 904 nm and its association with aspects of adherence to self-care. Methods: This is a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled clinical trial. Participants will be randomly assigned to the groups: control LLLT placebo (CG), LLLT 904 nm 10 J/cm² (LG1), LLLT 904 nm 8 J/cm² (LG2) and LLLT 904 nm 4 J/cm² (LG3). QoL data, percentage of healing and pain will be assessed before the start of the intervention, in 10th week and after one month to the end of intervention, self-care will be assessed before the start of the intervention and at the end of intervention. Eighty participants with DFU will be recruited who will receive intervention twice a week for up to 20 visits (10 weeks).
A Clinical Investigation Evaluating Wound Closure With OptiPulse™ Versus SOC in the Treatment of...
Diabetic Foot UlcerThe purpose of this clinical investigation is to assess the safety and performance of Compedica's OptiPulse™ and to collect subject outcome data on the treatment of diabetic foot ulcers (DFU's) versus the standard of care (SOC). OptiPulse™ is designed to enhance blood circulation in the venules and arterioles. Fibracol Plus (or equivalent) is a collagen alginate dressing that is used as the primary dressing. Both products are 510(k) FDA cleared and will be used within the cleared intended use.
Clinical Study of ALLO-ASC-SHEET in Subjects With Diabetic Wagner Grade II Foot Ulcers
Diabetic Foot UlcerThis is a phase 2 double-blind clinical study to evaluate the efficacy and Safety of ALLO-ASC-SHEET in subjects with Diabetic Wagner Grade II Foot Ulcers, compared to placebo therapy.
Cell Therapy for Diabetic Foot Ulcer
Diabetic Foot Ulcer Associated With Type II Diabetes MellitusWound HealDiabetes is a highly prevalent chronic disease that affects a large part of the world's population. Among the most costly complications is the diabetic foot ulcer, where its decompensation can result in limb amputation, a risk 10 to 20 times more frequent for diabetic population. Two underlying pathophysiological mechanisms are mainly identified: neuropathy and problems associated with vasculature and blood supply, in addition to the incidence of infections, which further impairs prognosis. Skin regeneration involves several overlapping and consecutive stages, which in the case of a diabetic patient are altered. Although healing protocols have been significantly improved at the country level, and there is also a large amount of medical supplies for treatment of these wounds, there are still patients with ulcers refractory to this care that end in amputation. In response to this, new treatments have emerged that use biomaterials and cells of the patient himself, which attempt to emulate the architecture and functionality of normal tissue. Cell therapy has gained strength in recent years, with more and more studies indicating the positive effect of cell application on healing of chronic wounds with underlying pathologies, such as diabetes. The product to be evaluated corresponds to a combined medical device, which conveys a cellular therapy, known as InbioDerm+C. The purpose of this Phase II clinical study is to determine whether InbioDerm+C treatment plus advanced healing is equal to or superior to advanced healing in a diabetic population with Wagner II grade foot ulcer treated in Villa Alemana primary care family centers, Las Américas, Juan Bautista Bravo Vega and Eduardo Frei.
Clinical Study to Evaluate Efficacy and Safety of ALLO-ASC-DFU in Patients With Diabetic Wagner...
Diabetic Foot UlcerThis is a phase III double-blind study to evaluate the efficacy and safety of ALLO-ASC-DFU in patients with Diabetic Wagner grade 2 Foot Ulcer, compared to placebo therapy.
Celliant Socks to Increase Tissue Oxygenation and Complete Wound Closure in Diabetic Foot Wounds...
Diabetic Foot UlcerThis study is a prospective, multicenter, double-blind, 1:1 randomized clinical trial. The purpose of this study is to demonstrate that the use of Celliant Socks increases tissue oxygenation (via oxygen saturation, StO2) and incidence of wound closure in subjects with diabetic foot ulcers. This study will use hyperspectral imaging and wound assessment to measure these outcomes. The study will enroll 254 evaluable subjects total, 127 per arm to meet the Primary Endpoint. Enrollment may continue up to twenty-five hundred (2500) evaluable subjects total to meet the Key Secondary Endpoint of complete wound closure.
Appropriate Strategy of Surgical Treatment in Ischemic Diabetic Foot
Diabetic FootIschemic Diabetic Foot Ulcer1 moreThis cohort study aims to evaluate the outcomes of appropriate surgical treatment strategies in diabetic foot ulcers with different rate of popliteal artery stenosis(<50% or ≥50%). In this study, patients with Texas university grade 2-4(stage C-D) ischemic diabetic foot ulcers will be included. Data of patients who underwent surgical treatment in the past will be retrospectively collected. The patients with follow-up time less than 12 months will continue to follow up. Also the postoperative patients will be prospectively collected. Effects of different surgical strategies, including wound healing therapy, interventional therapy and tibial transverse bone transport therapy will be measured by several indexes.

Study on Regeneration of Skin Defects in Diabetic Ulcers Treated With New Electrospun Material PLCL/Fg...
Diabetic FootProspective cohort studies through clinical trials. Obtained a large amount of real-world data to explore the efficacy of PLCL/Fg dressings for specific clinical applications. Published 1 relevant SCIE paper. Provide a large amount of data support for the application of PLCL/Fg dressing in diabetic foot ulcer wound repair through basic experimental and clinical experimental studies. It can provide a practical and effective biomaterial for the treatment of clinical skin wound structure and function reconstruction, make the patient's wound healing as soon as possible, benefit the general public, reduce medical expenditure, reduce the burden on the society, lay the foundation for the industrialization and marketization of national innovative medical devices, and help to improve the international status and value of the application.
