Samples Procurement for Colorectal Cancer, Gastric Cancer, and Non-malignant Disease
Colorectal CancerGastric Cancer4 moreThe purposes of this study are to collect and store samples including blood, normal and tumor tissue from patients with colorectal cancer or gastric cancer, to collect and store samples including blood and/or normal gastrointestinal tissue (if available) from patients with non-malignant disease (including, but not limited to, inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), gastric ulcer, hemorrhoids or hernia), and to create a database for the collected samples and allow access to relevant clinical information for current and future protocols.

Effect of Second-look Endoscopy on Peptic Ulcer Rebleeding in Patients With Early Resumption of...
OGDGastric Ulcer Induced by Anti-platelet Agent1 moreOBJECTIVES: Up to 15% of patients with peptic ulcer bleeding will develop rebleeding, mainly in those with ulcers of higher-risk stigmata (i.e. Forrest class Ia to IIb). Randomized trials show that second-look endoscopy is effective in reducing rebleeding rate. However, whether to withhold aspirin or other anti-platelet agents (for the treatment of established cardiovascular or cerebrovascular diseases) remains controversial. Studies have shown that although continuation of anti-platelet agents reduces mortality rate due to reduced cardiovascular and cerebrovascular events, there is a marginal increase in rebleeding risk. HYPOTHESIS: We hypothesize that continuation of aspirin or other anti-platelet agents coupled with second-look endoscopy could reduce the rebleeding rate without increasing the risk of thromboembolic events in high-risk patients.

A Safety and Efficacy Study of Lansoprazole in Preventing Aspirin-Induced Gastric and Duodenal Ulcers...
Stomach UlcerDuodenal UlcerThe purpose of this study is to determine whether lansoprazole, once daily (QD), compared to gefarnate, twice daily (BID), is effective in preventing the recurrence of gastric and duodenal ulcers in patients receiving long term treatment with low dosage aspirin.

Evaluating PN 400 (VIMOVO) in Reducing Gastric Ulcers in High Risk Subjects Compared to Arthrotec...
Gastric UlcerThis randomized, double-blind, parallel-group, controlled, multi-center clinical trial of 6 months duration is designed to assess the efficacy, tolerability and safety of PN400 versus diclofenac/misoprostol in subjects at high risk for developing NSAID-associated gastric ulcers. Approximately 100 sites will participate to enroll a total of 200 subjects (100 per arm). At least 20% of the subjects enrolled will be age 65 years and older.

Healing Effects of Autologous Platelet Rich Plasma on Gastric Ulcer Caused by Endoscopic Submucosal...
Platelet-rich PlasmaEndoscopic Submucosal DissectionIn Korea, where the prevalence of gastric tumors is high, the use of ESD as a treatment for gastric cancer will continue to increase. Considering that there are no special measures to prevent side effects (bleeding, perforation, etc.) of this procedure, it is possible to reduce the large medical costs through the discovery of substances that can promote gastric mucosal healing. Mechanism of PRP-based materials in the regeneration of gastric mucosal damage can be used to understand the pathophysiology of ulcers. In the future, it can be suggested as a new treatment for gastrointestinal tract damage such as intractable ulcer, perforation, mucosal fistula, gastrointestinal bleeding caused by esophagus, small intestine and large intestine as well as ulcer treatment by endoscopic procedure.
