Gastroesophageal Reflux

The purpose of this study is to assess the effectiveness and safety of rabeprazole sodium, an inhibitor of gastric acid secretion of the protein pump inhibitor (PPI) class, compared with placebo in the treatment of gastrointestinal esophageal reflux disease (GERD) in infants 1 to 11 months of age.

Safety and Efficacy the Medigus SRS Endoscopic Stapling System in Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease...

Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD)

The study is designed to test the safety and efficacy of the Medigus SRS endoscopic stapling system for the treatment of GERD. The system allows the operator to staple the stomach to the esophagus,in order to restore the gastroesophageal flap valve. The effect of the stapling is similar to a common operation for GERD (partial fundoplication) but is done through the mouth, and incision into the abdomen is not needed. The hypothesis of the study is that the treatment will be effective in improving GERD related quality of life by 50% or more in the majority of the subjects, and that the procedure will be as safe as surgery.

Efficacy of Endoscopic Subureteral Injection for Vesicoureteral Reflux in Adults With Decreased...

Vesicoureteral Reflux

Endoscopic subureteral injection for vesicoureteral reflux has become an established alternative to ureter reimplantation in children. Some recent studies suggest that ESI can be also a primary treatment option for VUR in adults. However, the experience with ESI in adults who have VUR associated with decreased bladder compliance is limited. We evaluated the efficacy of endoscopic subureteral injection treatment for vesicoureteral reflux in adults with decreased bladder compliance.

Efficacy of Pantoprazole in Patients Older Than 18 Years Who Have Symptoms of Non-erosive Reflux...

Gastroesophageal Reflux

The aim of the study is to evaluate the effect of pantoprazole on fast symptom reduction in hospitalized patients with NERD (non-erosive reflux disease) or GERD (gastroesophageal reflux disease, Los Angeles [LA] Grade A-D). During the study, the patients will complete a patient-orientated, self-assessed reflux questionnaire (ReQuest™). The study duration consists of a treatment period of 7 days ± 3 days. Pantoprazole (tablet) will be administered once daily in the morning to patients with NERD or GERD at one dose level for each indication. The study will provide further data on the safety and tolerability of pantoprazole.

Symptom Assessment in Adult Patients With Erosive GERD (Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease) or enGERD...

GERD

The aim of this study is to compare investigator and patient-assessed gastroesophageal reflux disease symptoms in patients with erosive GERD or endoscopic-negative GERD (enGERD). An endoscopy will be performed at study start and study end. During the study, the patients will complete a patient-orientated, self-assessed reflux questionnaire (ReQuest™ questionnaire). The study duration consists of a baseline period (8 days) and treatment period (28 days). Pantoprazole (tablet) will be administered once daily at one dose level. The study will provide further data on safety and tolerability of pantoprazole.
