XELOX Combined With Anlotinib and Penpulimab vs XELOX as Adjuvant Therapy in ctDNA Positive Gastric...
CarcinomaGastrointestinal Diseases5 moreThis is an open label, randomized, phase Ⅱ, multi-cohort study to treat subjects with ctDNA Positive Gastric and Esophagogastric Junction Adenocarcinoma. The patients will be randomized into two arms consist of Penpulimab + Anlotinib (3 weeks/cycle) + XELOX and XELOX at a ratio of 1:1. This study is conducted to assess safety and anti-tumor activity of the monoclonal antibody Penpulimab in combination with Anlotinib and standard chemotherapy as adjuvant treatment for ctDNA-positive Gastric, or Gastroesophageal Junction Carcinoma.
Transauricular Vagal Nerve Stimulation; Functional Dyspepsia and Gastroparesis
GastroparesisFunctional Dyspepsia3 moreThe goal of this study is to establish parameters of gastric myoelectrical activity and heart rate variability in healthy human subjects and compare and contrast them to those with gastroparesis and functional dyspepsia, at baseline and following taVNS.
Holographic Screens as a Replacement of Monitors During GI Endoscopies
Gastrointestinal DiseasesNowadays, the application and development of spatial technologies have shown an increased interest in different fields of medicine, especially in procedural specialties. Many studies have shown the utility of augmented and virtual reality; however, studies evaluating mixed reality are scarce. In gastroenterology, some proposed advantages of MR are the 3D space guidance, its increased situational awareness, remote assistance, and the reduction of surgical monitors in the units. Based on this, the researchers proposed a multicenter trial to assess the added value of MR through a holographic device during gastroenterology endoscopic procedures.
The Influence of Different Mood States and Emotions on the Physiologic, Metabolic, and Perceptual...
Other Gastrointestinal DisordersCramp1 moreMany athletes anecdotally report modifying their nutritional intake before competition in order to avoid gut problems, but no studies have evaluated whether emotional state impacts tolerance to pre-exercise feeding. Therefore, this study will use movie clips (stressful, horror, and funny/amusing) to induce different mood states and emotions, which will be followed by ingestion of food before endurance running on a treadmill. In addition, metabolic and physiologic responses to mood induction will be evaluated.
Long Term Follow up on Functional Gastrointestinal Disorder (FGID)
Functional Gastrointestinal DisorderLong term prognosis and risk factors in functional gastrointestinal disorder (FGID) is largely unknown. The investigators plan to retrospectively analyse a cohort of children who were referred to the Pediatric Clinic due to abdominal pain with the aims to learn more about symptoms and effects of investigations performed. Furthermore, the investigators plan to contact the cases for a follow up using a validated questionnaire and analyse the long term prognosis and risk factors for prolonged severe symptoms.
Eosinophilic Gastrointestinal Disorders Registry
Eosinophilic EsophagitisEosinophilic Gastroenteritis2 moreThe purpose of this study is to learn more about Eosinophilic Gastrointestinal Disorders (EGIDs). With this registry we hope to find out more about the symptoms that patients have during their treatment, the quality of life they have with the diagnosis, what the disease looks like throughout the different treatment methods, and if there is a connection between EGIDs and connective tissue disorders. The goal of this study is to be able to better understand EGIDs and use information gained from all the information collected on this study for more precise treatments in the future. We want to create a large collection of samples, called a biorepository, to learn the most about EGIDs as possible. When the samples are collected, which will occur at procedures directed by your child's doctor as part of their standard of care, they will be stored for an unlimited amount of time to perform experiments on these samples and to gather information about EGIDs
Clinical Utility Evidence for TissueCypher®
Gastro-Intestinal DisorderBarrett EsophagusCernostics has developed a new diagnostic test, and this study will measure how gastroenterologists and foregut surgeons make diagnostic and treatment decisions when presented with different information in the context of simulated clinical cases. The results of this study could contribute to improved quality of care for patients by encouraging better care practices and adherence to evidence-based guidance. The data from this study will be provided to all participating physicians and submitted to a national journal for publication. The study plans to enroll up to 249 physicians.
Efficacy Assessment of Chinese Herbal Medicine Tangweian Recipe Treating Participants With Diabetic...
Diabetic GastroenteropathyThis study is a randomized, positive drug parallel-controlled clinical trial in participants with diabetic gastroenteropathy. A total of 60 participants will be recruited for the study, all of whom are diagnosed as diabetes mellitus combined with gastroenteropathy. The subjects will be divided randomly into two groups and treated with either Tangweian Recipe+mosapride citrate tablets or mosapride citrate tablets for four weeks. The primary outcome will be the change in gastroparesis symptom severity, as measured by the American Neurogastroenterology and Motility Society Gastroparesis Cardinal Symptoms Daily diary Index-Daily Diary (ANMS GCSI-DD). And participants will be seen for a clinic evaluation at weeks 0 and 4, during which symptom scores, adverse events and treatment compliance will be assessed.
OSPREY is a Post-market, Global, Multicentre, Observational, Prospective Registry.
Pancreatic NeoplasmDigestive System Neoplasm6 moreThe OSPREY Patient Registry has been developed to collect and assess the performance and safety of the OncoSil™ device when used within the approved indication of unresectable, locally advanced pancreatic cancer, in combination with gemcitabine-based chemotherapy, within a real-world observational registry. The Registry data will provide both complementary and contemporary information to the existing clinical data across various countries and will form part of the post-market clinical follow-up activities for OncoSil™. Therefore, the Registry will be implemented only in countries with regulatory (commercial) approval for the OncoSil™ device.
Therapeutic Effect of Olive Leaf Tea on SIBO
Small Intestinal Bacterial OvergrowthGastrointestinal Disorder1 moreThe goal of this study is to learn about the effect of olive leaf tea (OLT) in patients with small intestinal bacterial overgrowth aging from 18 to 60 years old. This study aims to answer the following questions: Will OLT consumption help decrease severity of gastrointestinal signs and symptoms Will OLT help normalize the intestinal methane and hydrogen gases levels measured by glucose breath test Does olive leaf tea have an effect on body composition parameters including weight, muscle mass and fat mass Participants with complain of gastrointestinal symptoms like abdominal gas, constipation, diarrhea etc. will undergo glucose breath test(GBT). Participants with diagnosed SIBO by GBT will randomly assigned to two groups. Group A will take the olive leaf tea(1.8g leave powder /tea bag) twice/day after meals for the duration of 2 months. Group B (control group) will not take olive leaf tea. For both groups Symptomatic questionnaire, Glucose breath test, Body composition by InBody analyzer 270 and 24-hour dietary recall will be taken. Researcher will compare readings of group A and Group B taken at Baseline and after 2 months of intervention to assess the effect of Olive leaf tea
