Evaluation of Geistlich Fibro-Gide® + CAF in Comparison to CTG + CAF for the Treatment of Recession...
Gingival RecessionThis double blind, randomized, split mouth study evaluates the non-inferiority of Geistlich Fibro-Gide® in comparison to connective tissue graft for the treatment of Miller Class I or II recession defects at 6 months post treatment.
CGF and PRF in the Gingival Recessions Treatment
Gingival RecessionThis study hypothesized that CGFs' placement together with CAF may enhance the healing of soft tissues better than use of PRF together with CAF. Therefore, the aim of this study was to determine the clinical effects of CGF in combination with CAF compared to the clinical effect of PRF in combination with CAF in the treatment of adjacent multiple GRs.
The Effect of Different Gingival Biotypes on Dimensional Stability of Free Gingival Graft
Gingival RecessionAtrophyThe aim of this study is to compare the effect of mesial and distal adjacent gingival biotypes of the tooth / teeth region of free gingival graft (FGG) on the shrinkage ratio of graft at 6 months postoperatively.
Effect of Orthodontic Treatment on the Stability of Pre-Orthodontic Recession Coverage
Gingival RecessionThis study attempts to assess the effect of orthodontic treatment on the stability of pre-orthodontic recession coverage by connective tissue graft- a randomized controlled clinical trial and thus facilitate better evidence based treatment protocol.

The Efficacy of De-epithelialized Free Gingival Graft on Treatment of Multiple Gingival Recessions...
Gingival RecessionThe predictable treatment of multiple adjacent gingival recessions (MAGRs) represents a major challenge in periodontal plastic surgeries due to MAGRs' complicated predisposing anatomic features, such as thin gingival phenotype or limited keratinized tissue. The present study aimed to investigate the clinical efficacy and postoperative morbidity of de-epithelialized gingival graft (DGG) compared to subepithelial connective tissue graft (SCTG) on the treatment of multiple adjacent gingival recessions (MAGRs) with tunnel technique (TUN). A total of 38 patients, who have been referred to the Gazi University Faculty of Dentistry Department of Periodontology, were randomly assigned to receive TUN in combination with either DGG or SCTG. Clinical measurements were recorded at baseline and at 3, 6 and 12 months after surgeries. Immediately after surgery, a questionnaire was given to each patient evaluating postoperative pain, patients' discomfort, sensitivity and bleeding at 1, 2, 3, 7, 14 and 28 days after surgery. Moreover, the characteristics of the grafts harvested by these two different techniques were evaluated histopathologically and histomorphometrically.
The Role of Smoking and Gingival Crevicular Fluid Markers on Coronally Advanced Flap Outcomes
Gingival RecessionSmokingCigarette smoking is a patient-related factor that can affect healing of periodontal tissues and the success rate of root-coverage procedures. Neither the nature nor the mechanisms of action of cigarette smoking on root coverage are fully understood. Therefore, the hypothesis that cigarette smoking has negative impacts on the outcomes of root coverage after CAF surgery in systemically healthy individuals with an initial gingival thickness of at least 0.8 mm and who practice optimal oral hygiene was tested. It was also hypothesized that baseline analysis of disease-related biomarkers would shed light on the underlying mechanisms of a possible effect.
Cyanoacrylate Use in Free Gingival Graft
Gingival RecessionLocalizedPresent study aims to reveal the effects of cyanoacrylate application at the recipient bed and the donor site in free gingival graft surgery on the healing parameters and patient-based outcomes.
The Comparison of the Efficacy of Gingival Unit Graft With Connective Tissue Graft in Root Coverage...
Gingival RecessionPeriodontal DiseasesThe purpose of the study is to compare the clinical effectiveness of gingival unit graft (GUG) and connective tissues graft (CTG) in Miller's class I and II gingival recession.
A Randomized Controlled Clinical Trial to Evaluate Safety and Effectiveness of CAF + Mucograft®...
Gingival RecessionThe purpose of this multi-center study is to determine the efficacy and safety of Mucograft® in combination with the coronally advanced flap (CAF) for the treatment of gingival recessions. It is assumed that the CAF combined with Mucograft® will result in improved outcome in terms percentage of root coverage and soft tissue thickness in comparison to CAF alone (control).
