iCare® Home vs Goldmann Applanation Tonometry
GlaucomaOpen Angle Glaucoma2 moreSelf-tonometry with iCare Home is regularly performed at Sankt Erik's Eye Hospital since a few years back. The purpose of this study was to show that the eye pressure measurements made with iCare® Home by patients / relatives do not vary more than those made with the standard method, Goldman applanation tonometry (GAT), by different healthcare professionals. This will hopefully confirm the usefulness of self-tonometry.
OCTA Study of Choroidal Vasculature in Open Angle Glaucoma Patients
Glaucoma Open-Angle PrimaryThe aim of the present study was to examine and measure SFCT and CCVD using respectively EDI-OCT and OCTA in preperimetric and advanced glaucomatous eyes, in order to shed light on the vascular pathogenesis of glaucoma disease.
24h Continuous Intraocular Pressure (IOP) Monitoring vs Goldmann Applanation Tonometry
Primary Open Angle GlaucomaA study in which intraocular pressure (IOP) will be monitored over 24 hours using the SENSIMED Triggerfish® device and Goldmann applanation tonometry (GAT) in primary open angle glaucoma patients. The aim of this study is to investigate the comparability of diurnal IOP patterns emerging from SENSIMED Triggerfish and GAT.
Glaucoma Adherence Study
Ocular HypertensionPrimary Open Angle GlaucomaThe purpose of this study is evaluate adherence to DuoTrav® when reinforced by the use of the Travalert™ Dosing Aid.
Correlation of Optic Disk Morphology and Ocular Perfusion Parameters in Patients With Primary Open...
Primary Open Angle GlaucomaGlaucoma is one of the most common causes of blindness in the industrialized nations. For a long time glaucoma has been defined as a disease in which high intraocular pressure (IOP) leads to irreversible optic disc damage and subsequent visual field loss. However, recent investigations show that IOP is not the only factor that is involved in the glaucomatous process leading to retinal ganglion cell death. The role of vascular factors in the pathogenesis of glaucoma has recently received much attention based on animal experiments and epidemiological studies. It is, however, assumed that vascular factors do not contribute to same degree in all glaucoma patients. Generally, it is believed that a vascular component is more important in normal tension glaucoma patients and patients with underlying cardiovascular disease. Little is, however, known about a potential association between optic nerve head morphology and ocular perfusion in POAG patients. The current study seeks to gain insight into this association by assessing ocular blood flow parameters with a number of noninvasive technologies.
Does the Optic Disc Grading Done Visually by Your Doctor Agree With Optic Nerve Testing Which is...
Open Angle GlaucomaThe purpose of this study is to determine how well the DDLS (Disc Damage Likelihood Scale) (which is a method used by the eye doctor to evaluate how healthy the optic nerve is) measures up to the standard glaucoma tests: OCT (Optical Coherence Tomography), the HRT (Heidelberg Retinal Tomography) and the HVF (Humphrey Visual Field).
A Study of Bimatoprost 0.01% in the Clinical Setting
GlaucomaPrimary Open Angle1 moreThis is a study of bimatoprost 0.01% (LUMIGAN® 0.01%) in subjects with primary open-angle glaucoma (POAG) or ocular hypertension (OH) who require further treatment for elevated intraocular pressure (IOP).
Comparison of Gonioscopy With Cirrus and Visante
Open Angle GlaucomaNarrow Angles1 moreThe aim of this study is to analyze similarities and evaluate interchangeability of Visante and Cirrus OCT (optical coherent tomography)and to compare agreement between gonioscopy and the two systems for evaluation of anterior segment parameters.
A Study of Intraocular Pressure (IOP) Reduction in Newly Diagnosed Patients With Primary Open Angle...
GlaucomaOpen-Angle1 moreThis is an observational study and will evaluate IOP reduction in newly diagnosed patients with POAG or OHT. All care (including treatment and diagnostic procedures) provided is at the discretion of the participating physicians according to their clinical judgment and the local standard of medical care.
A Study of the Rate of Progression of Glaucoma During a Follow-up Period of Two Years
GlaucomaOpen-AngleThis is an epidemiological, non-interventional, prospective study to collect data on glaucoma progression in a routine setting. Patients may receive treatment at the discretion of their physician per local standard of care.
