Electrical Stimulation for the Treatment of Optic Neuropathies

GlaucomaGlaucoma2 more

The overall aim of this study is to see whether long-term electrical stimulation with a home-stimulation device works well and is safe for the treatment of open-angle glaucoma. Open-Angle Glaucoma is a disease where the nerves in the back of your eye die off faster than expected regardless of your eye pressure.

Alternate Nostril Breathing Training in Geriatrics With Glaucoma and High Blood Pressure

Primary Open Angle GlaucomaHypertension

Hypertension, particularly if poorly controlled, appears related to an increased risk of open angle glaucoma, (the high tension type of glaucoma is characterized as optic nerve degeneration with ocular hypertension). so this study will search response of glaucoma to breathing exercise

Keratometric Change After XEN, Trabeculectomy and Tube Shunts

GlaucomaOpen-Angle4 more

The main goal of this study is to assess the severity of postoperative corneal astigmatism induced by implantation of the XEN Gel Stent compared to that induced by traditional filtering surgery (trabeculectomy and GDDs). Corneal astigmatism can be assessed using corneal topography, a non-invasive tool which provides an accurate estimate of corneal curvature in all meridians. To the best of our knowledge, no study has yet attempted to quantify the amount of astigmatism induced by the XEN Gel Stent.

Results of Patients With Glaucoma Undergoing Minimally Invasive Glaucoma Surgery in Conjunction...

GlaucomaOpen-Angle1 more

This study is designed to determine how well patients with glaucoma can see following cataract surgery with a special type of lens called an extended-depth-of-focus (EDOF) lens. This lens is intended to reduced the patients need for glasses following cataract surgery. Patients will also undergo a minimally invasive type of glaucoma surgery using a special type of stent to reduce eye pressure, with the goal of better glaucoma control and the reduction in the need for medications to control eye pressure.

Vision Preservation and Restoration Following a 6 Month Trial of GlaucoCetin

Primary Open Angle Glaucoma

This study is looking at changes in vision and visual function before and after a six month trial of a daily medical food called GlaucoCetin, formulated with ingredients to support and protect the optic nerve cells. Open angle glaucoma patients will be randomized to receive either a placebo or the medical food for 6 months. We hope to learn if this medical food can improve the vision of our glaucoma patients and to report the findings obtained to the general public.

Travoprost Intraocular Implant in Conjunction With Cataract Surgery

Open Angle GlaucomaOcular Hypertension

Subjects with cataract requiring extraction and who have open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension will undergo screening and washout from IOP-lowering medication, if applicable. Eligible subjects who meet all inclusion criteria and none of the exclusion criteria and who undergo successful cataract extraction with implantation of a posterior chamber intraocular lens (PC-IOL) will receive a travoprost intraocular implant and followed up for 12 months.
