The aim of this study is to investigate the toxicity and immune response of therapy with tumor infiltrating lymphocytes as adjuvant treatment for head and neck cancer after primary operation and radiotherapy. Patient will receive a single treatment consisting of conditioning chemotherapy for seven days (cyclophosphamide for two days and fludarabine for five days), intravenous infusion of high number of in vitro expanded tumor infiltrating lymphocytes followed by two weeks with daily low-dose interleukine-2. Patients will be evaluated for toxicity and immune response.

This clinical trial studies positron emission tomography (PET)/magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) in patients undergoing PET/computed tomography (CT). Diagnostic procedures, such as PET/MRI, may help doctors diagnose cancer or help doctors predict a patient's response to treatment

Background: This study aimed to the postoperative patients with newly diagnosed head and neck Cancer. The nurse-led counselling and after intervention improved shoulder pain, Shoulder Disability, and Quality of Life., before 2 weeks radical neck dissection and at postoperative 2, 4, 8, and 12 weeks. Methods：Participants were identified for eligibility from the otorhinolaryngology outpatient department of a medical center in eastern Taiwan. The data of 40 patients were collected between Aug 1, 2017, and Jul 31, 2018. 40 participants were randomly assigned to an experimental (n = 20) and a control group (n = 20). The experimental group received the nurse counselling and after intervention exercise intervention , and the control group received usual care. Study tools used were the shoulder pain and disability indices, University of Washington Quality of Life Questionnaire.

The overall goal is to develop and examine the acceptability of a web-based (Internet) intervention program for patients with head and neck cancer who have recently completed radiation therapy.

This randomized phase III trial studies how well gabapentin plus standard of care work compares to standard of care without Gabapentin in preventing inflammation of the mucous membranes (mucositis) in patients with stage III-IV head and neck cancer that are undergoing primary or subsequent (adjuvant) chemoradiation therapy. Radiation therapy to the head and neck may cause a burn involving the inside of the mouth, throat, and nasal passages, resulting in pain. Gabapentin may help prevent (or minimize) pain associated with radiation-induced mucositis in patients with head and neck cancer.

This pilot clinical trial studies how well Prepare to Care kit works in improving caregiver support in patients with stage I-IV head and neck cancer that is new or has come back. Prepare to Care kit may increase knowledge about head and neck cancer and enhance stress-management skills.

Medically under-served (i.e., low-income, uninsured, underinsured) cancer patients generally encounter significant disparities in accessing care for their mental health needs while undergoing toxic treatments that provide considerable physical and emotional stress. Thus, the investigators propose to adapt evidence-based strategies to a stepped-care intervention model to address the mental health needs of under-served lung cancer (LC) and head and neck cancer (HNC) patients and their caregivers across several levels of symptom severity (e.g., mild, moderate, or severe symptoms of depression and anxiety).

This pilot clinical trial studies how well metformin hydrochloride works in affecting cytokines and exosomes in patients with head and neck cancer. Metformin hydrochloride may reduce the metabolic activity of cancer cells and of surrounding supportive tissues.

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effect of individual education and individual self-care measures on pain intensity, perceived health, mood and sleep during and after treatment with radiotherapy for head and neck cancer.

This study will examine the effects of a dietary intervention in post-treatment head and neck cancer survivors on the ability to function physically, tiredness, and quality of life, as well as on changing markers in the blood that are associated with better recurrence and survival.
