For some patients, Botox injected into the muscles of the forehead and neck can significantly reduce pain. Unfortunately, this does not provide long-term relief as the effect of Botox lasts for 3 months. Since year 2000 surgery to treat a selected population of migraine patients has been gaining popularity and showing promising results. The surgery reduces the pressure on the peripheral nerves that are believed to cause migraine headaches by resecting the surrounding tissue (bone, fascia, muscle, and arteries). This surgery provides a more long-term and permanent relief. The purpose of this study is to follow the effectiveness and outcomes of migraine surgery.

High School Start Time and Teen Migraine Frequency
MigraineMigraine is common in adolescents and can cause missed school and disability. The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) recommends that high schools start no earlier than 8:30 AM in order to accommodate the physiologic needs of adolescents-whose brains naturally want to fall asleep later and wake up later and who still need to get at least 8 hours of sleep per night to function optimally-however, only about 18% of US high schools comply with this AAP recommendation. There is a relationship between adequate sleep and migraine. The investigators aim to determine whether high school students with migraine who attend high schools that comply with this AAP recommendation have lower migraine frequency than those that do not. If so, it would argue for advocating for changes in high school policy to optimize health of adolescents with migraine.

Twelve sessions will be held during four mindfulness practice with four recordings (one per week). As a brainwave biomarker, the Muse, a Electroencephalogram (EEG). The investigators will use the MIDAS questionnaire, the HIT-6 Questionnaire and the FFMQ-BR. Based on the use of tDCS in patients with chronic pain, and in benefits of Mindfulness practice in these patients, the objective is to evaluate if the mindfulness-associated TCCA provides satisfactory results in the painful prophylaxis of patients with chronic migraine.

EndometriosisMigrainePatients with both, migraine and endometriosis, present the case-group, while women with endometriosis without migraine serve as controls. The primary endpoint is endometriosis stage confirmed by laparascopy compared to the control group. Further points to compare between groups are infertility, dysmenorrhea, dyschezia, dyspareunia, number of operations, family history with first-degree relatives, and age of first symptoms for both conditions and age at first operation. Secondary endpoints to evaluate in percentages within the migraine group are migraine frequency, migraine aura/non-aura, age at migraine start, hormonal migraine, family history, treatment response, response to prophylactic agents, localization, types of aura and triggers. Other medical conditions and comorbidities like depression will be noted as well as response to Dienogest treatment. In the questionnaire we will ask 62 Questions overall. The Questions for endometriosis are based on a questionnaire from the world endometriosis research foundation and to evaluate the severity of the migraine we will use the MIDAS (Migraine Disability Assessment) questionnaire (8).
My Healthy Diary - An Electronic Diary for Remote Migraine Monitoring
Episodic MigraineMigraine DisordersThis study aims to evaluate the usefulness of an app-based headache diary in episodic migraine patients. For this the investigators will conduct a randomized clinical trial with a crossover design, using the app-based diary and a traditional paper-based headache diary. The patients will use each diary for 13 weeks. The investigators will evaluate diary adhesion after each 13-week period, and also evaluate headache burden and prophylactic medication compliance at the beginning, at the crossover point, and at the end of the study, and acute headache medication use through diary records. The investigators will also evaluate user preference through a questionnaire at the end of the study.
