Mitral Valve Reconstruction in Chronic Heart Failure (CHF): Identification of Predictors for a Successful...

Chronic Heart FailureMitral Insufficiency

The aim of the study is to evaluate hemodynamic and echocardiographic parameters in patients with secondary mitral insufficiency and CHF. Identification of hemodynamic parameters as predictor for a successful mitral valve reconstruction in CHF patients. Collection of clinical factors for the assessment of the postoperative course after mitral valve reconstruction in CHF patient.

Evaluation of Rate Adaptive Pacing on Chronotropic Response in Preserved Ejection Fraction HF

Heart Failure With Preserved Ejection Fraction

RESPOND-HF is a prospective, multi-center, non-significant risk pilot study with cross-over design. The purpose of the study is to investigate if rate adaptive pacing has the potential to provide benefit to HF patients with preserved ejection fraction, referred to as HFpEF patients. Findings from this pilot study may be used to guide subsequent efforts to design and conduct a prospective, randomized, multi-center pivotal trial powered to show improvement in patient outcomes.

CRT In Narrow QRS Heart Failure: Mechanistic Insights From Cardiac MRI And Electroanatomical Mapping...

Heart Failure

Cardiac Resynchronisation Therapy (CRT) is a specialist pacemaker procedure that aims to improve the efficiency of the heartbeat. This treatment is used routinely in patients with heart failure and a delay in electrical conduction across the heart seen on the surface ECG (heart tracing). Also CRT has been seen to improve some heart failure patients with a normal electrical conduction (seen on the ECG as a narrow QRS complex). The investigators aim to see if cardiac MRI can be used to select patients with normal electrical conduction for CRT, therefore expanding the number of people who would stand to benefit from this treatment.

Intravenous Vasodilator vs. Inotropic Therapy in Patients With Heart Failure

Acute Heart Failure

Single center, prospective, randomized, non-blinded research study comparing intravenous vasodilator infusion vs. inotropic infusion in patients admitted to the hospital or in the emergency room at Montefiore Medical Center presenting with the diagnosis of acute decompensated systolic heart failure with low cardiac output but no hypotensive.

Global Prevalence of ATTR-CM in Participants With HFpEF

Transthyretin Amyloid CardiomyopathyHeart Failure With Preserved Ejection Fraction

This study is a global, multi-center study designed to estimate the global prevalence of transthyretin amyloid cardiomyopathy (ATTR-CM) within a clinically at risk population [participants with heart failure with preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF)].

Biomarkers of Pediatric Heart Failure

Heart Failure

Heart failure (HF) is a clinical syndrome where the heart is unable to pump the blood required to meet the metabolic demands of the body. Heart failure in children can result from a variety of structural or functional cardiac disorders with subsequent failure of the ventricles to fill with or eject blood

Crome/Cobalt Respiration Study

Heart Failure

The goal of this study is to compare measured respiration rates in various subject scenarios and use conditions between capnography and the Crome and Cobalt ICD and CRT-D MRI SureScan devices (derived using a Holter recorder).

Evaluating Clinical Trial Experiences of Individuals With Congestive Heart Failure

Congestive Heart Failure

Clinical trial participation has always been substantially skewed toward certain demographic groups. However, there has been little study on whether trial qualities impact participation in either a positive or negative way. The goal of this research is to identify the characteristics that consistently restrict patients' ability to participate in or complete a trial in which they were initially interested. This data will be evaluated via a number of demographic lenses in order to find trends that could benefit future Congestive Heart Failure sufferers.

A Retrospective Validation Study To Identify Chart-Based Clinical Diagnosis Of Wild-Type Transthyretin...

ATTR-CM

This is an observational, retrospective non-inferiority study with a study sample from a large national database. A machine learning (ML) model will use a national database to predict the clinical diagnosis of ATTRwt-CM among HF patients. This study will include HF patients ≥50 years old.
