Assessment of the Efficacy and Tolerability of the Fixed-dose Combination of Bisoprolol/Perindopril...
Arterial HypertensionCHD - Coronary Heart DiseaseStudy objective - to assess the efficacy, tolerability and adherence of bisoprolol/perindopril FDC in patients with HT and stable CAD in everyday practice. Type of the program: multicenter, observational, uncontrolled, open program. The program will involve 480 general practitioners (GPs) and cardiologists from the primary care facilities. Each doctor includes four patients. It is planned to include not less than 1920 patients in total.

Quantification of Micro-RNA 146-a in Chronic Periodontitis and Coronary Heart Disease Subjects
Periodontal DiseasesCoronary DiseaseThe expression and quantification of Micro-RNA 146-a, was analyzed in the subgingival plaque samples of generalized chronic periodontitis patients with and without coronary heart disease. The demographic variables and periodontal parameters were assessed and correlated with expression of micro-RNA 146-a. The quantification of levels of micro-RNA 146-a was done using Real time Polymerase chain reaction. ( RT-PCR)

Epidemiology of Congenital Heart Disease in France
Congenital Heart DiseaseCongenital heart disease (CHD) is the leading cause of birth defects, with an incidence of 0.8%. Since the 1980s, France has been a pioneer in neonatal CHD surgery (Pr. Fontan, Pr. Lecomte, Pr. Serraf, etc.), in prenatal diagnosis, and in interventional cardiac catheterization. Actually, first children operated for complex CHD have reached adulthood and a new epidemiology of CHD is emerging. Currently, one of the public health challenges is the need to maintain appropriate follow-up and to avoid disruption of care during the transition from adolescence to adulthood. Thus, the national health authorities (DGOS) recently certified a national network of expert centers for complex CHD (M3C). In addition, under the leadership of the French Society of Cardiology, the sub-specialty of Pediatric and Congenital Cardiology has been recognized. However, while North American and North European countries have published their updated data on the main indicators of CHD morbidity and mortality, no study has reported epidemiology of CHD in France. Currently, available data are approximate, estimating that 200,000 children and 250,000 adults would be living in France with a CHD. Nevertheless, no information is available on hospitalizations, type of CHD, their follow-up, possible disruption in care, and morbidity and mortality in patients with CHD in France. This epidemiological study will use the national health insurance hospital database to answer these questions.

Fontan Physiology Ventilation Strategy
AnesthesiaCongenital Heart DiseaseThis study will investigate the different tidal volume (Vt) strategies during a cardiac catheterization procedure to determine whether or not low or high Vt have an impact on cardiac output. Research question: While maintaining the same minute ventilation/PaCO2, does higher Vt (10 cc/kg)/lower rate vs. lower Vt (6 cc/kg)/higher rate (maintaining consistent PEEP) result in improved cardiac output?

Low Ejection Fraction in Single Lead ECG
Left Ventricular DysfunctionVentricular Dysfunction2 moreThe purpose of this research is to prospectively test and validate the single-lead Low EF algorithm in outpatients in order to test the performance of a single-lead ECG based algorithm to identify people with decreased left ventricular EF.

The Effect of Walking in Kidney Transplant Patients
Kidney Transplant; ComplicationsCardiac DiseaseCardiovascular diseases are among the most common causes of death in kidney transplant patients. Physical activity is of great importance in preventing cardiovascular diseases after transplantation. Although regular physical activity is recommended in international guidelines to prevent post-transplant mortality and morbidity in kidney transplant patients, studies have shown that patients do not follow regular physical activity instructions. The aim of our project is to examine the effect of pedometer-assisted physical activity on metabolic parameters after kidney transplantation.

Influence of Intraoperative Fluid Balance on the Incidence of Adverse Events in Pediatric Cardiac...
Congenital Heart Disease in ChildrenSurgery1 moreThe intraoperative fluid balance during pediatric cardiac surgery is a very sensitive parameter given the low circulating volume and the complexity of anesthetic management but might be deleterious if inadequately managed. The hypothesis is that a highly positive intraoperative fluid balance increases the incidence of adverse events in the short and long term. A retrospective observational study including all consecutive children admitted for cardiac surgery with cardiopulmonary bypass (CPB) from 2008 to 2018 in a tertiary children's hospital will be performed. A multivariate analysis will be carried out to study the effect of the fluid balance on the incidence of adverse events.

Validation of an Artificial Intelligence Algorithm Identifying Echocardiographic Reference Views....
Cardiac DiseaseEchocardiography is the examination of choice for the study of cardiac pathologies. Beyond its use by cardiologists, the interest of echocardiography for other medical specialties has already been demonstrated, in particular in intensive care in the case of haemodynamic failure, or in intra and extra hospital emergency medicine for the initial assessment of chest pain or dyspnoea. Echocardiography also plays a major role in screening for heart disease, particularly valvular heart disease. In countries with very limited access to echocardiography, there is a major under-diagnosis of heart valve disease, including rheumatic fever, which affects 30 million people and causes 305,000 deaths worldwide. As this is a global public health problem, recommendations were drafted in 2012 to organise and facilitate echocardiographic screening of populations at risk. The expansion of the use of echocardiography has been catalysed by the miniaturisation of ultrasound systems and the reduction in their price. Recently, probes directly connected to a tablet or phone have been developed at a limited cost. It is therefore possible to consider these ultrasound scanners as the new stethoscope that could be used by any health professional. In order to be effective, the last limit to this democratisation is the training, and in particular that of non-specialists (i.e. non-cardiologists). Echocardiography remains an examination that requires anatomical knowledge and practice. Performing an echocardiogram involves visualising the heart from different points on the chest. The three main points are in the left paraspinal area, at the apex of the heart and under the sternum. From these areas, the operator must obtain several reference views which are strictly defined in order to be able to correctly observe the different cardiac structures and make comparable measurements from one examination and clinician to another. It is therefore necessary first of all to learn how to handle the probe and to be able to obtain the reference views. The morphology of the patient, the shape of the thorax, the exact position of the heart, the movements of the heart according to the position of the patient and his breathing are all elements to be taken into account and make each examination different from the previous one.
