A Study to Assess the Effect of Intravenous Dose of (aMBMC) to Subjects With Non-ischemic Heart...
Non-Ischemic Heart FailureA phase IIa study to assess the safety and preliminary efficacy of intravenous dose of ischemia-tolerant Allogeneic Mesenchymal Bone Marrow Cells in subjects with non-ischemic heart failure.
MOMENTUM 3 IDE Clinical Study Protocol
Advanced Refractory Left Ventricular Heart FailureThe objective of the study is to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of the HM3 LVAS by demonstrating non-inferiority to the HMII LVAS (HMII) when used for the treatment of advanced, refractory, left ventricular heart failure.
Oral Iron Repletion Effects On Oxygen Uptake in Heart Failure
Chronic Heart FailureThe purpose of this study is to determine if oral iron (Fe) polysaccharide is superior to oral placebo in improving functional capacity as measured by change in peak VO2 (oxygen uptake) by CPET (Cardiopulmonary Exercise Testing) , of a broad population of patients with HFrEF (Heart Failure with Reduced Ejection Fraction) and Fe deficiency at 16 weeks. Hypothesis: In a broad population of HFrEF patients with Fe deficiency, compared to oral placebo, therapy with oral Fe polysaccharide will be associated with improvement in functional capacity at 16 weeks as assessed by CPET.
Levosimendan Efficacy Assessment by Cardiopulmonary Exercise Test (CPET)
Heart FailureThe present study was conceived to evaluate the effects of levosimendan on cardiopulmonary exercise test (CPET) and DLCO ( Diffusion capacity of Lung for carbon monoxide) in patients with severe heart failure in stable clinical conditions (NYHA - New York Heart Association - class III, with a peak VO2 (Oxygen consumption ) < 12 ml/min/kg) on top of optimized standard therapy.
Exercise Intolerance in Elderly Patients With HFpEF(Heart Failure With Preserved Ejection Fraction)...
Heart FailureDiastolic1 moreThe purpose of this study is to examine the effects of weight loss via hypocaloric diet (CR)and aerobic exercise (AT) compared to the effects of weight loss via hypocaloric diet (CR), aerobic training (AT)and resistance training (RT).
Researching Emotions And Cardiac Health
Congestive Heart FailureEmotions1 moreThe purpose of the study is to understand how positive emotions (e.g., optimism, happiness) are associated with health behavior adherence in patients with heart failure (HF), as well as whether performing exercises to improve positive emotions may help to improve health behavior adherence as well.
Prevention of Non-Surgical Bleeding by Management of HeartMate II Patients Without Antiplatelet...
Heart FailureThis study is a prospective, multi-center, randomized, double-blind placebo-controlled study of subjects receiving the HM II LVAD as per the current FDA approved indications for use.
The TRUST Study - CardioVascular Imaging IMT
Thyroid DysfunctionAtherosclerosis1 moreCoronary heart disease (CHD) are the leading causes of mortality and morbidity, particularly with the current context of an aging population. Prospective cohort studies, as well as analyses of pooled individual participant data suggest up to a 60-90% increase in the risk of CHD or HF events among adults with severe SHypo. However, no large randomized controlled trials (RCT) have assessed the impact of thyroid replacement on cardiovascular (CV) imaging outcomes. The goals of this proposal are to address the impact of thyroid replacement on subclinical atherosclerosis. The investigators will conduct a RCT in 185 patients with subclinical hypothyroidism who will be randomly assigned to thyroxine or placebo with an average follow-up of 24 months from baseline. The main outcome will be CV imaging modalities measured by carotid ultrasound at the close-out visit. Assessment of the impact of thyroid replacement on subclinical atherosclerosis within a trial will aid decisions and evidence-based guidelines development to treat a potential modifiable risk factor, such as SHypo.

The goals of this proposal are to address the impact of thyroid replacement on cardiac function. The investigators will conduct a RCT in 185 patients with subclinical hypothyroidism who will be randomly assigned to thyroxine or placebo with an average follow-up of 24 months from baseline. Demonstration of Reverse Remodeling Effects of Entresto. Using Echocardiography Endocardial Surface...
Heart FailureThis study intends to measure the effects of valsartan/sacubitril compared to baseline standard medical heart failure therapy on reverse remodeling using echocardiographic endocardial surface analysis techniques to assess changes in ventricular volume, function, and shape.
