The purpose of this study is to determine if exercise training with or without testosterone replacement can improve cardiopathy in heart failure patients

Twenty-four patients with known heart failure will be recruited. They will undergo a cardiac magnetic resonance for ventricular analyses and after this first exam they will be randomized to placebo or Sildenafil. After one hour drug intake they will undergo another cardiac magnetic resonance to evaluate the drug impact on right and left ventricular function.

A multi-centre, randomized, placebo controlled, trial. Methods: A randomized crossover clinical trial with allocation consisted of two experimental phases: NIV and control, 7 days apart of each other. During NIV phase, 30 minutes of bi-level ventilation was performed. Any type of ventilator support was offered during control phase. Optoeletronic plethismography was performed to asses TK.

This study examines whether a nurse monitored management program at the hospital heart failure outpatient clinic can improve quality of life in elderly patients with chronic heart failure, as compared to standard treatment in primary healthcare.
