Prognostic Value Of Short-Term Follow-up Biomarkers After Discharge In hOspitalized Patients With...

Heart Failure

Several surrogate biomarkers including natriuretic peptide(NP), and growth differentiation factor-15(GDF-15) and ST2 has prognostic significance in heart failure(HF), and reductions in its value may predict clinical improvement. However, there are limited data regarding the prognostic value of these biomarkers during short-term follow-up after discharge in acute decompensated heart failure. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the prognostic value of short-term follow-up surrogate biomarkers for predicting prognosis of hospitalized patients with acute decompensated heart failure.

Native T1 CMR Imaging for Diagnosis of Cardiac Amyloidosis

Heart Failure NYHA Class IIHeart Failure NYHA Class III6 more

The study aims to test the diagnostic accuracy of native T1 mapping for the diagnosis of cardiac amyloidosis prospectively. The hypothesis is that native T1 mapping with a cut-off value of 1341ms (3 tesla CMR) in older patients with symptomatic heart failure, increased LV wall thickness and elevated cardiac biomarkers is non-inferior to the reference method to diagnose cardiac amyloidosis (CA). As secondary measure, a web-based ATTR probability estimator for the diagnosis of CA will be evaluated.

Apple-CPET Ted Rogers Understanding Exacerbations of Heart Failure

Heart FailureHeart Failure5 more

Heart Failure (HF) is a complex disease associated with the highest burden of cost to the healthcare system. The cardiopulmonary exercise test (CPET) is instrumental in determining the prognosis of patients with HF. This study will evaluate whether aggregate biometric data from the Apple Watch combined with demographic, cardiac, and biomarker testing can improve our ability to predict heart failure outcomes among a diverse ambulatory HF population

The Multicenter Cardiology Monitoring Platform Registry

Heart FailureCardiomyopathies4 more

The multicenter Cardiology Monitoring Platform registry (mCMP-registry) is a prospective observational registry including multi-omics (diagnostic) measurements performed as part of routine clinical care, bio-banking (optional), and yearly questionnaires (optional). It's objective is to optimize (early) diagnosis and risk-stratification of (early) cardiovascular diseases, specifically cardiomyopathy phenotypes, arrhythmias, and coronary artery disease, and to create a better understanding of underlying pathophysiological processes.

The Role of the GP in the Management of Ambulatory Heart Failure

Heart Failure

To describe the causes mentioned by general practitioners, explaining the under-treatment of the three main treatments for heart failure with impaired ejection fraction (ARS blockers of the type ACEinhibitor/ARA2/ARNi, ß- and/or anti-aldosterone).

Deformation Imaging by Strain in Chronic Heart Failure Over Gliflozins: an Echocardiographic Register...

Sodium-GLucose coTransporter-2 InhibitorsHeart Failure With Reduced Ejection Fraction

It is an observational, cohort, prospective, multicentre, Italian, non-profit study, with the aim of evaluating the modification of conventional and advanced echocardiographic parameters, focusing on speckle tracking and three-dimensional echocardiography (optional), in patients with HFrEF after treatment with SGLT2i Dapagliflozin and Empagliflozin. Participation in the study will last for approximately 18 months, and a total of 300 patients will be enrolled at the various Research Centers. The enrolled patients will undergo a first evaluation in which the anamnestic, clinical and conventional and advanced echocardiographic data will be recorded. At this point, the patient will start SGLT2i. After starting SGLT2i, a second evaluation will be carried out with a cardiological visit at 6 months, in which the same data listed above will then be recorded. At the end of the evaluation, the clinical follow-up will be continued for the duration of 1 year, in number and frequency according to clinical indication.

Iron Deficiency in Patients With Heart Failure and Reduced Evection Fraction

Iron DeficiencyHeart Failure With Reduced Ejection Fraction

About half of patients with heart failure and reduced ejection fraction (HFrEF) have iron deficiency who are symptomatic. This is independently associated with bad quality of life, low functional capacity, lower quality of, life and increased mortality. The prevalence of iron deficiency in HFrEF patients in Jordan has not been studied in the past.

Heart Failure and Sleep Disordered Breathing

Heart Failure

The purpose of this study is to analyze and summarize the characteristics of arrhythmia and heart rate variability of Chinese patients with three different types of heart failure combined with sleep disordered breathing based on the clinical data, to provide new diagnosis and treatment ideas for domestic patients, and then to improve the prognosis of patients betterly.
