Validation of a Sensor for Non-invasive Measurement of Stroke Volume and Cardiac Output
Cardiac FailuretoSense, Inc. has developed a novel, non-invasive, body-worn sensor -CoVa Patch-that offers an alternative to invasive continuous cardiac output monitoring. To validate this new sensor's measurements of stroke volume and cardiac output, toSense, Inc. will conduct a study that compares its measurement performance to that from a pulmonary artery catheter using the thermodilution method.
Point of Care Artificial Intelligence Tool for Heart Failure Diagnosis
Heart FailureAbbreviations/acronyms: DUO-EF = prediction of ejection fraction (EF) using the Eko-DUO digital stethoscope algorithm HF = heart failure HFrEF = heart failure with reduced ejection fraction COVID-19 = coronavirus disease 2019 Eko DUO = digital stethoscope device cMRI = cardiac magnetic resonance imaging ECG = electrocardiogram Prospective observational study of left ventricular ejection fraction predicted by application of artificial intelligence to single-lead ECG acquired by a digital stethoscope; in the post-covid-19 follow up clinic, in patients presenting with heart failure symptoms in primary care, and in patients attending for echocardiography and cardiac MRI.
The Relationship Between Epicardial Fat Tissue and Cardiac Function in HFpEF Patients
Heart Failure With Preserved Ejection FractionHeart failure with preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF) refers to a group of symptoms and signs of heart failure, normal or near-normal left ventricular systolic function (EF>50%), and ventricular muscle diastolic dysfunction and A clinical syndrome characterized by decreased compliance and increased stiffness. The pathogenesis of HFpEF is related to impaired lipid metabolism and inflammation. Epicardial adipose tissue (Epicardial Adipose tissue, EAT) is a kind of visceral adipose tissue. Related studies have shown that extracardiac Membrane fat is related to inflammation markers, cardiometabolic risk and cardiovascular disease. However, there is still no research investigating the the relationship between epicardial fat thickness and Cardiac Function in HFpEF patients.
Quantifying Congestion by Ultrasound
Heart FailureThe investigators will determine the feasibility of identifying and quantifying changes in interstitial and intravascular congestion by imaging in participants with heart failure. The investigators will either continue or temporarily suspend both loop diuretics and mineralo-corticoid antagonists (MRA) for 48 hours in participants with heart failure that is both stable and mild and compare measurements of interstitial (B-lines) and intra-vascular fluids (IVC and JV diameter and renal venous flow) by ultrasound and, in a subset of participants without contra-indications, by cardiac MRI.
Phenotypes and Outcomes of Heart Failure With Preserved Ejection Fraction in Patients With Hypertension...
Heart Failure With Preserved Ejection FractionDiabetes Mellitus2 moreOur study is the first multicenter study in Vietnam on clinical phenotypes of heart failure with preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF) in patients with concurrent type 2 diabetes (T2DM) and hypertension (HTN). The purpose of this study is to identify different phenotypes of the Vietnamese HFpEF-HTN-T2DM population, as well as the association of these phenotypes with long-term outcomes.

Implantation of the HeartMate 3 in Subjects With Heart Failure Using Surgical SWIFT HM3 PMS
Advanced Refractory Left Ventricular Heart FailureThis is a prospective, post-market, multi-center, non-blinded, single arm study of the HeartMate 3 Left Ventricular Assist System (LVAS). The objective of this study is to evaluate the implantation of the HM3 utilizing techniques other than full median sternotomy (e.g. thoracotomy) and impact on post-implant length of stay.
ECLS Versus IMPELLA™ as Bridge to LVAD (ECI-BLAD)
Cardiogenic ShockEnd-stage Heart FailureIn this retrospective observational multicenter study the authors tested the hypothesis that the use of IMPELLA™ pump as bridge to bridge, by giving the opportunity of active rehabilitation, should improve patient's outcomes after the implantation of Left Ventricular Assist Device (LVAD).
Sacubitril/Valsartan in Heart Failure With Reduced Ejection Fraction Patients: a Real World Study...
Heart FailureThis was a non-interventional, retrospective EMR analysis of longitudinal prescriptions in India for a period of 1.5 years. Demographic profile of patients with heart failure with reduced ejection fraction on sacubitril/valsartan was recorded.
Physiological Signals, Activity and Posture for Surface Mounted Insertable Cardiac Monitor in Heart...
Heart FailureSystolic2 moreTo characterize the physiological signals collected from a Wearable Cardiac Monitor (WCM) prototype device in subjects with heart failure and preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF) and compare against signals from subjects with heart failure and reduced ejection fraction (HFrEF). To evaluate the relationship of physiological signals measured from a wearable cardiac monitor (WCM) prototype device with ECHO measures of systolic and diastolic function
