Evaluation of Efficacy and Safety of a Single Dose of CTX001 in Participants With Transfusion-Dependent...
Beta-ThalassemiaThalassemia6 moreThis is a single-dose, open-label study in participants with transfusion-dependent β-thalassemia (TDT) or severe sickle cell disease (SCD). The study will evaluate the safety and efficacy of autologous CRISPR-Cas9 modified CD34+ human hematopoietic stem and progenitor cells (hHSPCs) using CTX001.
Autologous Testicular Tissue Transplantation
CancerSickle Cell Thalassemia1 moreFreezing testicular tissue of prepubertal boys is a method for preserving spermatogonial stem cells (SSCs) in case of imminent gonadotoxic treatment during childhood. In case of total azoospermia in adulthood and presence of a childwish, the investigators intend to perform the first in men autologous testicular tissue transplantation to restore fertility.
Umbilical Cord Blood Transplantation Using a Myeloablative Preparative Regimen for Hematological...
Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML)Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia (ALL)16 moreThis is a treatment guideline for an unrelated umbilical cord blood transplant (UCBT) using a myeloablative preparative regimen for the treatment of hematological diseases, including, but not limited to acute leukemias. The myeloablative preparative regimen will consist of cyclophosphamide (CY), fludarabine (FLU) and fractionated total body irradiation (TBI).
Study of Modified Atkins Diet in Kabuki Syndrome
Kabuki SyndromeAnimal models of Kabuki syndrome have showed a reversal of the cognitive phenotype with ketogenic diet. Modified Atkins diet is safer and easier tolerated than full ketogenic diet and still has the histone deacetylase inhibition believed to be responsible for the cognitive improvement. This study aims to examine a small number of adults with Kabuki syndrome before and after 12 weeks on a modified Atkins diet to determine if there is any cognitive improvement and if the diet can be tolerated.
PK of SOF/LED in HCV - Infected Adolescents With Haematological Disorders
HCV InfectionBeta Thalassemia MajorThis is a prospective, controlled, open-label, pharmacokinetic study. This study aims at studying the PK of sofosbuvir, ledipasvir and sofosbuvir metabolite (GS-331007) in HCV infected children with hematological Disorders. to develop predictive pharmacokinetic model for the 3 moieties in the studied population. In this study, patients in both treatment groups will receive 12 weeks of treatment with a fixed-dose combination tablet containing 400 mg of sofosbuvir and 90 mg of ledipasvir(SOF/LED) orally, once daily with food.
MCW Alpha/Beta T-Cell and B-Cell Depletion With Targeted ATG Dosing
LeukemiaAcute Myeloid Leukemia in Remission12 moreThis is a single arm pilot study for patients with hematologic malignancies receiving unrelated or haploidentical related mobilized peripheral stem cells (PSCs) using the CliniMACS system for alpha/beta T cell depletion plus CD19+ B cell depletion with individualized ALC-based dosing of ATG to study impact on engraftment, GVHD, and disease free survival
Comparison of Triple GVHD Prophylaxis Regimens for Nonmyeloablative or Reduced Intensity Conditioning...
Acute Lymphoblastic LeukemiaAcute Myeloid Leukemia16 moreThis randomized phase II trial includes a blood stem cell transplant from an unrelated donor to treat blood cancer. The treatment also includes chemotherapy drugs, but in lower doses than conventional (standard) stem cell transplants. The researchers will compare two different drug combinations used to reduce the risk of a common but serious complication called "graft versus host disease" (GVHD) following the transplant. Two drugs, cyclosporine (CSP) and sirolimus (SIR), will be combined with either mycophenolate mofetil (MMF) or post-transplant cyclophosphamide (PTCy). This part of the transplant procedure is the main research focus of the study.
Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplant for High Risk Hemoglobinopathies
Sickle Cell DiseaseTransfusion Dependent Alpha- or Beta- Thalassemia6 moreThis is a study to collect the outcomes of stem cell transplantation for patients with hematologic diseases other than cancer.
A Study Evaluating the Safety and Efficacy of the BD211 Drug Product in β-Thalassemia Major Participants...
Hematologic DiseasesThis is a Phase 1,open label, safety, and efficacy study in subjects with non-β0/β0 TDT β-thalassemia Major by transplanting BD211 drug product which is for autologous use only, via a single IV administration.
