Clinical Efficacy of Stereotactic Radiotherapy and Microwave Ablation for Liver Metastases From...

RadiotherapyMicrowave Ablation2 more

Data of 100 colorectal cancer patients with liver metastases who received stereotactic radiotherapy of Cyberknife or microwave ablation in the multicenter of the research group from June 2019 to May 2021 were collected, as well as follow-up data.To evaluate the clinical efficacy of stereotactic radiotherapy and microwave ablation in liver metastases. In addition, the local control rate and side effects of stereotactic radiotherapy and microwave ablation in the treatment of liver metastases were explored, and the efficacy and safety of different doses of stereotactic radiotherapy were determined.

Spinal Anesthesia For Enhanced Recovery After Liver Surgery

HepatectomyPain2 more

This project proposes to compare epidural versus spinal anesthesia in patients having liver resection surgery. The investigators hypothesize that spinal anesthesia will result in improved blood pressure control postoperatively and reduce the amount of intravenous fluids required after surgery. Spinal anesthesia is expected to provide the same pain control benefits as epidurals, with faster recovery of function. Spinal anesthesia may be a simple and effective way to improve and enhance the recovery in the increasing number of patients requiring liver resection.

Sorafenib Combined With Transarterial Chemoembolization in Treating HBV-infected Patients With Intermediate...

PHENYTOIN/SORAFENIB [VA Drug Interaction]Liver Neoplasms12 more

Transarterial chemoembolization (TACE) is widely used for unresectable hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). However, the hypoxia caused by TACE in surviving tumor cell leads to release of angiogenic and growth factors contributing to poor outcome. Sorafenib can block tumor cell proliferation and angiogenesis. The hypothesis is that patients with unresectable HCC may benefit from sorafenib in combination with TACE.

HR Versus RFA for Early Stage HCC

Hepatocellular CarcinomaLiver Cancer

Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is the third leading death cancer in the world. It is important to explore a safe and effective therapy for early-stage HCC. Previous studies reported that radiofrequency ablation (RFA) has higher efficacy and is associated with fewer complications and shorter hospital stays than hepatic resection (HR) for early-stage HCC. However, meta-analysis and systematic review found that RFA is associated with higher recurrence rate and lower long-term overall survival.

Effect of Neoadjuvant Radiation on Tumor Infiltrating T-cells by Low Dose Radiation in Colorectal...

Colorectal Liver Metastases

The efficiency of T cell based immunotherapies is affected by the insufficient migration and activity of tumor specific effector T cells in the tumor. Aim of this phase I/II clinical trial is to evaluate whether a neoadjuvant, low dose radiotherapy can improve T cell connected anti tumor immune response in colorectal liver metastases. The primary endpoint is the number of tumor infiltrating T cells. Furthermore the T cell activity in situ, the number of regulatory T cells and the frequency of tumor reactive T cells in the blood and bone marrow will be examined.
