This retrospective, observational study will assess the real world treatment out comes in the management of patients with chronic hepatitis C. No prospective ass essment or procedure with patients during this study will be conducted. Data wil l be collected from patient medical records of the year 2000-2011.

The aim of our study is to evaluate liver fibrosis using biochemical markers, FibroScan, and radiology methods in patients with chronic hepatitis B in mainland China.

Hepatic steatosis and insulin resistance are associated with severity of fibrosis in non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) and chronic hepatitis C. However, clinical significance of steatosis and insulin resistance on fibrosis in chronic hepatitis B (CHB) is not well established. Participants will receive PegIntron injection pen (Peginterferon alfa-2b) and Rebetol (Ribavirin) combination therapy as their usual medical treatment. The current study aims to evaluate whether the previously introduced, and now widely accepted and implemented educational program, which represents additional efforts in everyday practice to increase patient compliance, will succeed in achieving adherence rate in treated participants similar to the extent demonstrated by clinical trials.

In February 2002, a French Consensus Conference on the management of patients with chronic hepatitis C in France was organized. The jury issued several recommendations on pegylated alpha interferon/ribavirin treatment strategy. Three years after these recommendations, it is of interest to understand the evolution of hepatitis C management in France in real clinical practice. This observational study will permit the identification of patients who are treated and will provide information on the use of PegIntron/ Ribavirin.

This is an observational, multicenter, nationwide study where information will be collected on the follow-up of participants with chronic hepatitis C virus (HCV) who have a viral response at the end of treatment with pegylated interferon alfa-2b (PEG IFN alfa-2b) plus ribavirin (RBV) administered according to the directions on the products' labeling. No administration of treatment is planned as a result of study enrollment.

To determine the relapse rate at 24 weeks follow up in Hepatitis C Virus Genotype 1 Low Viral Load (HCV LVL G1) patients treated for 24 weeks with Peg Intron and Rebetol who are Hepatitis C Virus-Ribonucleic Acid (HCV-RNA) negative at treatment week 4 and week 24. To determine the proportion of patients (%) with sustained virological response at 24 weeks post follow up treatment.

The purpose of this study is to support the clinical value of entecavir by assessing the relationship between viral load and histological improvement.
