TDF Combined With LDT for the Treatment of HBeAg-positive Hepatitis B Patients With Poor Response...
Chronic Hepatitis BStudies have shown that the HBeAg seroconversion rate of HBeAg positive chronic hepatitis B with tenofovir for one year's treatment was 17.8% and the negative conversion rate of their HBeAg and HBV DNA were 20.0% and 97.6%. The HBeAg Seroconversion rate of these patients was lower.Clinically, most patients need to take tenofovir for a long time, which may cause serious complications such as renal function damage, with decreased therapy compliance and Increased cost of treatment. In the course of tenofovir treatment, it is common that HBV-DNA negative patients with HBeAg Being down poor or staying at a low positive level for a long time keep taking the medicine. Therefore, it is Significant to Increase the HBeAg seroconversion rate of tenofovir during the clinical treatment. Telbivudine has a strong antiviral effect.Studies have shown that the HBeAg seroconversion rate of HBeAg positive CHB for one year was 25%, which was higher than other nucleosides, and it could also improve the damaged renal function to a certain extent. The HBeAg seroconversion rate of patients with poor response to tenofovir for 12 months could be still poor if for 24 months . Therefore, this study is to observe the efficacy of these patients combined with telbivudine.
LDT Combined With TDF to Improve EGFR Decreasing in Patients With Chronic Hepatitis B Treated With...
Chronic Hepatitis BChronic hepatitis B (CHB) is an important public health problem in the world. There are still more than 250 million chronic hepatitis B virus (CHB) infected people in the world. Its preventive effect has reached a relatively ideal effect, but its therapeutic effect still has great room for improvement. Tenofovir(TDF) is the first-line antiviral treatment with good clinical efficacy. However, some patients who take TDF for a long time have different degrees of renal dysfunction, which limits the use of TDF in these patients. Tenofovir Alafenamide Fumarate (TAF) has better plasma stability and stronger liver targeting, and reduces the side effects of renal function damage and bone mineral density reduction. Telbivudine (LDT), a nucleoside analogue, has the advantages of rapidly reducing HBV viral load and high HBeAg seroconversion rate. In addition, prospective studies have shown that LDT can improve the estimated glomerular filtration rate (EGFR).Therefore, this study aims to explore the clinical study of LDT combined with TDF and TAF in patients treated with tenofovir and EGFR < 90ml / min / 1.72m².
Real World Study About Anti-viral Regimen Adjustment on Achieving Complete Response in CHB Patients...
Sustained Virologic ResponseHepatitis B1 moreIn the treatment of chronic hepatitis B (CHB), viral suppression is closely related to disease progression, and the lower the viral load, the lower the risk of progression to cirrhosis and hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). In addition, a considerable number of patients in China are still using non-first-line antiviral therapy, such as adefovir dipivoxil, lamivudine, and telbivudine (ADV/LAM/LdT). About 25% of patients who received entecavir(ETV) treatment for more than half a year and confirmed that their DNA had turned negative by non-high-precision detection methods still had low viremia (LLV,DNA>20 IU/ml,IU=international unit), and LLV patients were twice as likely to develop HCC as patients with complete viral response.Patients who have received ETV or second-line NA(LAM/ADV/LdT) treatment for more than half a year to 1 year and confirmed HBV-DNA>10IU/ml by high-precision detection method are recommended to adjust the treatment plan in order to reduce the DNA load below 10IU/ml as soon as possible. It is up to the doctor, in consultation with the patient, to decide whether or not to make the adjustment.
FibroTouch Non-invasive Evaluation of Liver Fibrosis and Cirrhosis
Liver FibrosisCirrhosis1 moreThis prospective and multicenter study is to determine the diagnostic performance (accuracy, specificity and sensitivity) of transient elastography (FibroTouch) for liver fibrosis assessment in chronic hepatitis B (CHB) patients using ROC analysis, and liver biopsy as the reference. Approximately 600 patients will be enrolled to guarantee 500 final statistical cases; and ≥100 cases are required for fibrosis stage S0/1, S2, S3 and S4 (compensatory stage of cirrhosis), respectively. For each stage, the case is assigned as equally as possible.
Follow-up Strategy of Chronic Hepatitis B for Early Detection and Diagnosis of Hepatocellular Carcinoma:...
Chronic Hepatitis BThis study is a randomized control prospective study. The aim of this study is to establish an all-round and convenient follow-up strategy of Chronic Hepatitis B for early detection and diagnosis of Hepatocellular Carcinoma (HCC), by investigating whether different surveillance time intervals and surveillance methods are beneficial for chronic hepatitis B and cirrhotic patients with different risk of HCC.

Chronic Hepatitis BThe objective of the study is to procure blood (plasma, serum, RNA and PBMC samples) from approximately 40 chronic HBV for biomedical research program led by VGTI Florida.
Chronic HBV Infection in Pregnant Women Taking TAF to Prevent Vertical Transmission
Hepatitis BChronic1 moreMother-to-child transmission is the main route of transmission of Hepatitis B Virus (HBV) in China, and about 30% - 50% of chronic HBV carriers are infected by this. Although the current hepatitis B vaccine combined with hepatitis B immunoglobulin scheme has achieved excellent results, about 5% - 10% of infants born to chronic hepatitis B (CHB) mothers are still infected. A pregnant women's blood hepatitis B virus load ≥ 2 × 10^5 IU/mL before delivery is the main risk factor for transmission prevention failure. Two recent random controlled trial (RCT) studies have shown that the use of Tenofovir Disoproxil Fumarate (TDF) in highly viremic HBsAg positive mothers may safely reduce the rate of MTCT in comparisons between groups of TDF treated and untreated patients. Tenofovir Alafenamide (TAF) is the successor to TDF, and both drugs have a similar mechanism of action to reduce HBV DNA levels and normalize serum alanine aminotransferase (ALT) in chronic hepatitis B patients (CHB). TAF however, has a better safety profile with less adverse effects to hip and spine bone mineral density and renal function. Currently, TAF has been approved by the State Food and Drug Administration and marketed in China in December 2018. On the drug label, it has been suggested that TAF may be considered during pregnancy if necessary. However, it has not been reported whether the application of TAF in pregnant women can achieve better effects and safety in prevention of mother-to-child transmission. This prospective, triple arm, multicenter study seeks to evaluate the efficacy and safety of TAF in the prevention of mother-to-child transmission as compared to a retrospective cohort of mothers who were treated with TDF.

Prevalence of Occult Hepatitis B Virus Infection(OBI) in Subjects With Chronic Hepatitis B(CHB)...
Chronic Hepatitis bMother to Child transmission is the main route of hepatitis B virus (HBV) transmission in China, attributing to over 50% HBV infection. Familial aggregation in HBV infection is well recognized with underlying stipulations like mother-to-child transmission(MTCT), susceptible genes, close contact and other factors. Not surprisingly, a large proportion of hepatitis B virus infected population in China have a family history of hepatitis B virus infection. In clinical practice those family members usually undergo merely hepatitis B virus serology tests without HBV DNA test, which ruled out false HBsAg (-) or Occult HBV Infection (OBI) from Screening and linkage to care (SLTC). Unfortunately, the missed-out OBI in CHB family members was of a greater prevalence compared to those from general population (8.0% vs. 2.6%) . Moreover, OBI has been well recognized as strong risk factor in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) development with significant HBV DNA integration into host genome . In light of the latest 2019 China CHB guidelines, treatment criteria covered subjects with family history of CHB related cirrhosis or hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC). Therefore, subjects of HBsAg (+) with normal alanine aminotransferase(ALT) or OBI are eligible for further consideration of HBV anti-viral treatment. This study proposed will explore the prevalence of OBI in subjects with family history of HBV related cirrhosis or HCC. The screened HBsAg (+) with normal alanine aminotransferase(ALT) and OBI subjects would be linked to anti-viral therapies.
Immune Function Status and the Prevalence of Hepatitis in Postpartum Pregnant Women With CHB Infection...
Chronic Hepatitis BTo date, several studies have manifested that high levels of adrenal corticosteroids and oestrogen hormones during pregnancy can lead to increased HBV viraemia. These hormonal and immune function status changes can result in minimal fluctuations in liver function tests. Serum alanine aminotransferase (ALT) tends to increase in late pregnancy and the postpartum period. Peripartum hepatitis flares leading to hepatic decompensation have been reported. Therefore, the investigators aim to detect and observe the immune function status and incidence of hepatitis in pregnant women with chronic hepatitis B virus infection in late pregnancy and the postpartum period. To provide a clinical evidence for the administration of chronic hepatitis B virus infection pregnant women.
