DELTA DESCRIBE: the French Collaborative Project
Hepatitis DOur global objective is to draw up a photograph of HDV patients over one year in metropolitan France and identify the barriers of screening and care. The investigator suspects a mismatch between HBV and HDV screening, the first step for specialized care pathway in metropolitan France.
Evaluation of Patients With Liver Disease
Hepatitis DHepatitis C2 moreThe proposed study aims to evaluate, investigate, and follow-up patients suffering from acute and chronic liver disease. The study will focus on understanding diseases affecting the liver. Patients participating in the study will first undergo a routine check-up as an outpatient. They will be asked to provide blood and urine samples for laboratory testing and will undergo an ultrasound of the liver. Ultrasound examinations use sound waves to determine the size and texture of the liver. After the initial visit subjects will be requested to follow-up once a year at the outpatient department for a similar check-up. Additional tests may be requested throughout the study to provide information for other research studies and individual consent will be requested. These tests may include liver biopsies, skin biopsies, and / or specialized blood, plasma, and lymphocyte examinations. Subjects that qualify for medications presently being studied may be offered the opportunity to benefit from experimental therapy....
A Study to Evaluate the Antiviral Activity and Safety of HH-003 Injection in Subjects With Chronic...
Chronic Hepatitis B and Hepatitis D Co-infectionThis is an open-label phase IIa study of HH-003 to evaluate its antiviral activity and safety in subjects with chronic hepatitis B and hepatitis D co-infection. HH-003 is a human monoclonal antibody targeting the pre-S1 domain of the HBV large envelope protein. It blocks engagement of preS1 with sodium taurocholate co-transporting polypeptide (NTCP), the cellular receptor for HBV/HDV.
Proof-of-concept Study Evaluating the Safety and Efficacy of EBP921 in Delta Hepatitis (HDV)
Hepatitis DThe purpose of this study is to assess the optimal dose of EBP921 by comparing the efficacy and safety of 2 dose regimens in patients with chronic HDV.
Liver Fibrosis in Zambian HIV-HBV Co-infected Patients
Human Immunodeficiency VirusHBV7 moreIn this study the investigators will determine risk factors for liver fibrosis among HIV-HBV co-infected patients in Lusaka, Zambia, and assess the long-term effectiveness of antiretroviral drugs in the prevention and/or reduction of liver disease.
A Study of Safety and Efficacy of ATI-2173 in Combination With Tenofovir Disoproxil Fumarate in...
Hepatitis BChronic1 moreThis is a randomized, double-blinded, placebo-controlled, multi center, dose ranging study of safety and efficacy in both volunteers with chronic hepatitis B virus infection and in volunteers with hepatitis D virus coinfection. Volunteers will be administered multiple oral doses of ATI-2173 and assessed for safety and efficacy including blood tests to show how the body metabolizes and eliminates the investigational drug as well as how the drug effects the virus infection.
Chronic Hepatitis B Virus Infection in Zambia
HBVFibrosis7 moreChronic hepatitis B virus infection is a common condition in Zambia. Among Zambian blood donors, up to 8% are chronically infected with HBV. Despite the burden, awareness of HBV is low in Zambia and the Ministry of Health is in early stages of development of guidelines for HBV screening, treatment, and prevention. The purpose of this clinical cohort study is to characterize the clinical features of chronic HBV infection at UTH and describe treatment and care outcomes. The investigators will enroll 500 adults and follow the cohort for up to 5 years to assess short and long-term viral, serologic, and liver outcomes such as cirrhosis and liver cancer.
Study of ARC-520 With or Without Other Drugs Used in the Treatment of Chronic Chronic Hepatitis...
Hepatitis BHepatitis DPatients with chronic HBV infection will receive either ARC-520 alone or ARC-520 in combination with other treatments such as entecavir (ENT) or tenofovir (TDF) and/or pegylated interferon (PEG IFN) alpha 2a therapy, and be evaluated for safety and efficacy.
Evaluation of the Effectiveness of the Complex of Carnitine Orotate and Biphenyl Dimethyl Dicarboxylate...
Chronic Viral Hepatitis B With Delta-AgentThe goal of this observational study is to evaluate the effectiveness of the carnitine-orotate complex and biphenyl dimethyl dicarboxylate in the adjuvant therapy of chronic hepatitis D in real clinical practice: a prospective cohort study
Lonafarnib With and Without Ritonavir in HDV (LOWR-1)
Chronic Hepatitis D InfectionTo Evaluate the Safety and Efficacy of Lonafarnib with and without Ritonavir Boosting in Adults With Genotype 1 Chronic Hepatitis D Virus (HDV) Infection (LOWR-1).
