A Study to Evaluate Addition of Peginterferon Alfa-2a to Chronic Hepatitis B (CHB) Patients Treated...

Chronic Hepatitis B

This study evaluates whether addition of Peginterferon alfa-2a to CHB Patients Treated with nucleoside analogues (NAs) can enhance the rate of HBsAg clearance at end of treatment. This study is a Randomized, open-label, multi-center study. The CHB patients with NAs treatment and have achieved HBV DNA <15 IU/ml、HBeAg <100 PEIU/ml、HBsAg positive and HBsAg<1500 IU/ml will be randomized into 2 groups: Group 1 (Combination group): Maintain NAs treatment while add 48-week standard treatment by Peginterferon alfa 2a 180µg/week Group 2 (Mono NA group) : Maintain NAs treatment for 49 weeks. Note: NAs including: LAM, ADV, ETV, or TDF.

Hepatitis B

The purpose of this trial is to describe the Seroprotection Rate (SPR) at least 2 years following completion of a primary series with a hepatitis B vaccine (Base Study V232-059, NCT00440531) and 1 month following a challenge dose with a Modified Process Hepatitis B vaccine.

Long Term Follow-up of a Study to Assess the Safety and Immunogenicity of a Hepatitis A Vaccine...

Hepatitis A

The primary purpose of this study was to assess whether the protection afforded by Epaxal vaccine co-administered with diphtheria, tetanus, Bordetella pertussis, Haemophilus influenzae type b, and inactivated polio vaccine(DTPaHibIPV), oral polio vaccine (OPV) and (measles mumps and rubella) MMR vaccines against hepatitis A was not inferior to the protection afforded by Epaxal administered alone. The aim of the follow-up phase is to obtain information on the long term protection afforded by Epaxal, and to compare this with an alternative hepatitis A vaccine (Havrix).

Behavioral Science Aspects of Rapid Test Acceptance

HIVHepatitis C2 more

The relevance of this research to public health is to make it possible to test for hepatitis C and syphilis at point of care so that people will receive their results immediately instead of requiring people to wait for at least a week to get their test results. This research will make rapid tests for HIV available that can detect HIV infection earlier and are more accurate than current tests available in the United States.

Safety and Immunogenicity of a Paediatric Dose of Virosomal Hepatitis A Vaccine

Hepatitis A

The primary purpose of the original study was to assess whether the protection afforded by the paediatric dose of Epaxal vaccine against hepatitis A was not inferior to the protection afforded by the standard dose of Epaxal. The aim of the follow-up phase was to perform a computer based modelling analysis of the long term protection afforded by the paediatric dose, and to compare this with the standard dose and also with an alternative hepatitis A vaccine (Havrix Junior).
