An Intraoperative Guidance Platform for Radio Frequency Ablation
Hepatocellular CarcinomaThis study tests the hypothesis that use of the research RFA (Radiofrequency ablation) Physics Library will result in more frequent technical success (complete necrotization of target tissues) compared to ablations conducted without computer guidance. The RFA Physics Library -- a Planning and Guidance Platform (PGP) (NE Scientific, LLC) -- will be used to support percutaneous liver RFA under CT-guidance by assisting physicians in the identification of ablation targets, assessment of proper ablation probe placement, and projection of the created ablation zones on the CT image.

Arterial Base Fluorescence Segmental Positive Staining
Hepatic CarcinomaMore and more laparoscopic hepatectomy were performed due to increasing experience, well designed instruments and energy device. But the localization of tumor and resection line design are still relative difficult comparing open approach due to limit space. Intraoperative liver segmentation can be obtained by ultrasound-guide intraportal injection of a fluorophore and illuminating with a Near-Infrared light source for positive staining and by intravenous injection after ligation of segmental vessels for negative staining .The ultrasound guide intraportal injection approach is challenging in the minimally-invasive setting. However hepatocelluar carcinoma(HCC) was supplied by hepatic artery mainly. The investigators aimed to evaluate the feasibility of arterial base positive staining for fluorescence liver segmentation in human by superselective intra-hepatic artery injection of Indocyanine Green (ICG) .

Outcome of Transarterial Chemo-embolization (TACE) in Hepatocellular Carcinoma Patients With Partial...
Hepatocellular Carcinoma (HCC)Portal vein tumor invasion (PVT) is a common complication in HCC. the studyb Aimed to assess the outcomes after TACE in patients with branch PVT regarding Child classification, radiological response and 1 year survival.

Sorafenib Plus Hepatic Arterial Infusion Versus Sorafenib for HCC With Major Portal Vein Tumor Thrombosis...
HepatoCellular CarcinomaPortal Vein ThrombosisAccording to the Barcelona clinic liver cancer (BCLC) staging treatment guideline, sorafenib is recommended for Hepatocellular Carcinoma (HCC) with Portal Vein Tumor Thrombosis (PVTT), but HCC with major PVTT (in the main trunk or 1st-order branches of the portal vein) did not benefit much from sorafenib in previous studies. There is no established standard treatment for HCC patients with major PVTT, the investigators conducted a randomized, phase 2 study to investigate the survival benefit of sorafenib plus Hepatic arterial infusion chemotherapy (HAIC) with Oxaliplatin and Fluorouracil versus sorafenib for Hepatocellular Carcinoma with Major Portal Vein Tumor Thrombosis.

Microparticle Enhanced Cytotoxic Transarterial Embolization Therapy in Hepatocellular Carcinoma...
Hepatocellular CarcinomaThis is a non-randomized, prospective, pilot, Multicenter Study of Drug-eluting bead transarterial chemoembolization (DEB-TACE) using Doxorubicin-Loaded Embozene® Tandem™ Microspheres to treat hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC).

RFA for Small HCC With No-touch Technique Using Octopus Electrode
CarcinomaHepatocellularIn this study, the investigators are going to prospectively compare the clinical outcomes (technical success rate, 12 month local tumor progression rate, complication rate, tumor seeding rate) of Radiofrequency ablation (RFA) with octopus electrode and no-touch technique for Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) to those of RFA with conventional tumor puncture method with the same device.

Advanced Image Guidance Utilized in Liver Surgery
CarcinomaHepatocellularAdvanced Image Guidance for this study was used during laparoscopic microwave ablation surgery to help the surgeon accurately place the ablation needle into the tumor of patients diagnosed with liver cancer.

Comparison Study of Operation and PEIT for Small, Solitary Hepatocellular Carcinoma (HCC)
Hepatocellular CarcinomaThe purpose of this study is to choose the preferred treatment modality for solitary, small hepatocellular carcinoma.

A Study on the Angioarchitecture of Hepatocellular Carcinoma
CarcinomaHepatocellularHepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is one of the commonest solid malignancies in Hong Kong as well as globally. Transarterial therapy has been playing an important role in the treatment algorithm for patients with HCC. The primary purpose of transarterial therapy is eradication of the viability of the targeted tumors. The treatment outcomes have been variable among the various treatments, in general, there is still much room for improvement, especially for large size tumors. From the studies on Transarterial chemoembolization (TACE), it is known that the treatment outcome is affected by the nature and the formulation of therapeutic agents that are delivered, which is related to the angioarchitecture of the tumor. Knowledge on the angioarchitecture of HCC is essential for the understanding of the requirements for effective transarterial treatment of HCC. This prospective study is aimed to study the angioarchitecture of HCC.

Trial Comparing PLA to HIGRT (PROVE-HCC)
Hepatocellular CarcinomaThis phase II, randomized trial compare Quality of Life for patients with Hepatocellular Carcinoma (HCC) who are not surgical candidates or decline surgery and are treated with Percutaneous Local Ablation (PLA) or Hypofractionated Image-Guided Radiation Therapy (HIGRT).
