Assessment of Novel MRI Quantification Free Breathing Technique in Evaluation of Liver Lesions

Hepatocellular Carcinoma

The primary objective of this study is to develop and validate simultaneous free-breathing 4D fat and water quantification and quantitative dynamic contrast enhanced perfusion in the liver. Secondary aims include developing and validating free breathing quantification of relaxation parameters T1 and T2, and developing and validating a minimal breath-hold (< 8 s) high quality diffusion exam using highly accelerated steady state diffusion imaging sequences. Investigators aim to scan 100 subjects receiving liver biopsies as a part of their standard care and another 70 subjects with known benign lesions. The study is greater than minimal risk.

Environmental, Metabolic and Nutritional Factors of Hepatocellular Carcinoma in Cirrhotic Patients...

Cirrhosis With Hepatocellular CarcinomaCirrhosis Without Hepatocellular Carcinoma

Available data do not allow carcinogenesis mechanisms in cirrhotic patients to be well understood in absence of studies taking into account all recognised factors. A large scale clinical, biochemical and molecular studies is potentially relevant to the understanding of nutrition, physical activity, body weight metabolic syndrome whatever the etiology of underlying cirrhosis. It will open new perspectives : in prevention of hepatocellular carcinoma development in cirrhotic patients through dietary counselling and therapeutics of metabolic syndrome, in early screening of hepatocellular carcinoma in cirrhotic patients through spectroscopic technology and later proteomic study resulting in an improvement of hepatocellular carcinoma prognosis.

Use of N-Acetylcysteine During Liver Procurement

Liver FailureLiver Failure5 more

Randomized prospective study on the impact on the post-LT outcome by the infusion of N-acetylcysteine (NAC) during the liver procurement procedure, as an anti-oxidant agent to reduce the ischemia-reperfusion damage of organs for liver transplantation (LT).

Resection Versus Transcatheter Arterial Chemoembolization for Hepatocellular Carcinoma With Solitary...

CarcinomaHepatocellular1 more

This clinical trial aims to compare hepatectomy with Transarterial Chemoembolization (TACE) for Hepatic Cellular Cancer With Solitary Huge Tumor (≥5cm). All patients will be divided into two group. One group will receive hepatic resection, while an another equivalent group patients will be treated with Transarterial Chemoembolization.

Hepatocellular Carcinoma Surveillance in Cirrhotics

Hepatocellular CarcinomaCirrhosis

This is a 3-arm pilot randomized controlled trial applying behavioral economic approaches (opt-out framing and financial incentives) to encourage patients with liver cirrhosis to complete regular surveillance ultrasounds which may allow for earlier diagnosis of and better outcomes for hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC).

MRI With Gadoxetate Disodium in Measuring Tumors in Patients With Liver Cancer

Adult Hepatocellular CarcinomaAdvanced Adult Hepatocellular Carcinoma7 more

This pilot clinical trial studies magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) with gadoxetate disodium in measuring tumors in patients with liver cancer. Diagnostic procedures, such as MRI with gadoxetate disodium, may help find and diagnose liver cancer and find out how far the disease has spread. It is not yet known whether MRI with gadoxetate disodium provides a more precise measurement of liver tumors than standard computed tomography (CT).

Laparoscopic Versus Open Liver Resection in the Treatment of Hepatocellular Carcinoma

Hepatocellular Carcinoma

The purpose of this study is to investigate the clinical value of laparoscopic liver resection in the treatment of hepatocellular carcinoma by assessing its Surgical and oncologic outcomes comparing with open liver resection.
